With the increase in the number of global civil aviation travelers and changes in consumption habits,low-cost carriers have gradually opened up new market in aviation industry previously dominated by traditional full service airlines,and promoted air travel from high-end luxury consumption to economic and popular travel solution.The development of global low-cost aviation has prompted China to gradually explore a low-cost operation and management solution suitable for its own development.XB Airlines was established in June 2007 with the main base city in Chongqing.The company announced its transformation in 2013 and began implementing a low-cost strategy.As the first domestic aviation company operating from a traditional model to a low-cost one,XB Airlines constantly explores the Chinese model of low-cost aviation and strives to promote the popularity of low-cost solution in the Chinese market.Its modern travel and international low-cost aviation brand have gained the attention and recognition of the global civil aviation industry.With the gradual rise of the domestic low-cost aviation market,competition at home and abroad is becoming more and more intense.The whole industry is in rapid development,while existing low-cost strategy of XB Airlines gradually fails to keep up with the changes.It's time for XB Airlines to re-consider the strategy for better development.This article mainly researches and analyzes the low-cost strategy of XB Airlines in its main base of Chongqing,and clarifies how to establish an effective low-cost development strategy.Improving the company's leading position and advantages in Chongqing is the practical problem to be solved in this article.First of all,this article summarizes the development status and operation mode of low-cost aviation at home and abroad,and puts forward the overall ideas,methods and significance of the research.Secondly,a comprehensive analysis of the external environment and competition affecting the development of XB in Chongqing was made using the Five Forces Model.Finally,the article conducted a specific analysis of XB Airlines' low-cost strategic business model in Chongqing area through comparative analysis and quantitative analysis to clarify the existing problems of the company's low-cost strategy.The ultimate goal is to propose measures to optimize XB's low-cost strategy in Chongqing,and to better promote its market development there.I hope that practical suggestions for the development of low-cost aviation strategies in the new environment of civil aviation can be provided in the article.At the same time,I hope this article can act as guidance to airlines who intend to transform from full-service solution to low-cost one,and better contribute to the development of China's low-cost aviation.
