As a way of slow traffic, walking is an important part of the tourist experience.Analyzing and evaluating the walkability of the ancient city from the perspective of tourists is an important basis for formulating cultural tourism improvement goals, determining the lack of existing pedestrian environment and increasing the potential for walking. There are two main directions in the study of walkability measurement at home and abroad:(1)“Walk Score” based on travel purpose.(2)“Pedestrian Service Level Evaluation” based on walking environment. The traditional method fails to consider the influence of the purpose of the trip and the walking environment between the departure and destination on walkability. This article proposes a new walkability evaluation method. This method combines new geographic data sources such as Night light remote sensing and Tencent street view data, comprehensively considers the purpose of travel and walking environment, and studies the walkability evaluation of the ancient city streets from the perspective of tourists. The purpose of this method is to provide a new idea for measuring the walkability of the ancient city from the perspective of tourists. The evaluation results contain more comprehensive information and provide a more reliable basis for the construction and planning adjustment of tourism facilities for tourists and related departments. This article builds a walkability evaluation system for an ancient tourist city.on the one hand,we draw on traditional “Walk Score” method in the perspective of tourists attractions to purpose redesigned the tourist destination preferences and willingness to walk.on the other hand,we take into account the “Pedestrian Service Level Evaluation” and design the quality factor of the walking environment.at the same time,we use geographic big data sources to quantify factors such as accessibility, convenience, and comfort. The main contents include:(1)Constructing a conceptual model of the walkability analysis of the road network of ancient city street from the perspective of tourists.(2)Combining geographic data sources such as Tencent street view and night light remote sensing using spatial analysis methods such as network analysis and Python image recognition technology, the technical route and evaluation method of the model are designed.(3)Taking Pingyao Ancient City as an example, combined with the tourist mode based on linear space units, the pedestrianism of the streets in the ancient city of Pingyao is calculated, visualized, contrasted, verified and evaluated. The results show that:(1)this method can accurately represent the pedestrian spatial distribution pattern of tourists under the constraints of the ancient city street road network.(2)By analyzing the composition of the basic walking scores of the road sections in the Pingyao ancient city, the cultural categories to which the road sections belong can be identified.(3)The pedestrian walking scores in the ancient city of Pingyao were evaluated from three levels: travel willingness, scenic destination preferences, and walking environment quality.Based on the characteristics of the data source, the study area was divided into two periods, day and night.Factors with a low contribution value of the score, targeted suggestions for improving the walkability of the study area, and enhancing the walking potential of the ancient tourism city. From the perspective of tourists, the quantitative results of the walkability of the ancient city streets are highly consistent with the behavioral patterns and positive emotion distribution patterns of tourists, and the walkability evaluation system of the ancient city streets can fully consider tourists' visits from the aspects of tourists' willingness to walk, attraction preferences, and quality of the walking environment Time of walking needs, thereby providing a refined quantitative evaluation of the tourist walking behavior process.
