Funeral Hall Design Based On CRS Planning Model

With the aggravation of aging,funeral buildings have re-entered people's vision.As the last stop building in the life course,funeral parlors not only provide services for the deceased to tell others about their lives,but also provide places for the living to mourn the deceased and think about their lives.How to provide efficient,orderly and leisurely farewell activities for the deceased,how to provide mourning activities,flexible and other business for the survivors,has become a problem to be solved in the construction of funeral parlors.Architectural planning is a concept originating from the West.Compared with other natural sciences,traditional architecture is an inert and all-inclusive comprehensive discipline.The analysis,cognitive methods and planning and construction procedures of past design and its limitations can not keep pace with the development of the times and thus can not meet the needs of the times.Therefore,starting from the project establishment,architectural policies should be adopted.We should intervene in the planning.We should not only rely on experience and norms,but also conduct investigation and demonstration on the basis of actual situation through appropriate ways and methods.Finally,we can draw a conclusion.CRS planning mode is one of the architectural planning modes.It uses five steps to complete a planning: setting goals,collecting and analyzing facts,putting forward concepts,deciding needs and explaining problems.In the target stage,the types of construction projects and the expected users are mainly established,and the project scale prediction method based on the number of users is established by calculating the users.In the stage of collecting and analyzing facts,it is mainly divided into collecting and analyzing external facts and collecting and analyzing internal facts.External facts include geographical areas,economic and technological,social and humanistic,landscape ecology and policies and regulations.Internal facts include users,user usage patterns and usage space.In the concept stage,it is divided into six steps: establishing the concept of project positioning goal vision,external shape strategy,internal space strategy,structure selection strategy,material elevation design strategy,landscape and configuration strategy.In the stage of determining requirements and explaining problems,through two tables,one Input Table of Technical Points for Pre-project represents the results required in the planning stage,and one Output Table of Technical Points for Construction Scheme represents the results required in the design stage.Finally,the design results are expressed through the conceptual design of the funeral parlor of Longevity Garden in Tingzishan,Pukou District,Nanjing.The author hopes to present the whole process from planning to design through the specific case of the funeral home,hoping to draw lessons from the planning and design of other projects.
