The mode of counterpart support for post-disaster reconstruction in China has caused a series of problems such as urbanization of rural construction, which needs to be changed urgentl y.In the context of social transformation era, design has become a fruitful form of new rural construction.Continuous use of design innovation drives local communities to achieve comprehensive regeneration and remodeling.Compared with the general types of rural construction, design intervention in post-disaster reconstruction is faced with the challenges of realizing village reconstruction in a short time, comforting the victims' ph ysical and mental trauma. At the same time, the situation of large-scale damaged areas also brings opportunities for thorough renovation and regeneration of the affected villages, providing a broad innovation space for design intervention.Unlike the traditional counterpart support model of post-disaster reconstruction, the post-disaster reconstruction of Xueshan Village presents a new trend of broad participation of bottom-up society. It is a typical case of design-driven post-disaster reconstruction, which has high research value.Based on field investigation, this paper deepl y reflects on the whole process of design intervention in the reconstruction of Xueshan Village after the disaster, with a view to summing up experience and providing guidance and reference for future design-driven rural post-disaster reconstruction. This paper s ystematically introduces the research status of post-disaster reconstruction at home and abroad, and summarizes the research on the involvement of domestic design in rural construction. It also discusses several cases and theoretical studies of rural design construction in China from the five aspects of "people, culture, land, industry and landscape",and discusses the relationship between rural revitalization design and local communities. At the same time, through the anal ysis and study of four cases of post-disaster reconstruction, the paper discusses the practical status of design art intervention in post-disaster reconstruction.Based on the results of field investigation, the paper summarizes and introduces the human resources, cultural resources, regional resources, industrial resources and landscape resources of Xueshan Village, and outlines the design intervention in the reconstruction of Xueshan Village after the disaster. In the process of detailed anal ysis of design intervention in the postdisaster reconstruction of Xueshan Village, the paper divides the post-disaster reconstruction of Xueshan Village into four stages: investigation planning, project conception, landing implementation and industrial operation.By discussing the contents, roles of design intervention in the four stages,it is found that design thinking almost runs through the whole process of postdisaster reconstruction of Xueshan Village, and design has playing a key yet passive and unsustainable role in the post-disaster regeneration of Xueshan Village. Then it is proposed that design should actively participate in postdisaster reconstruction with the attitude of "active design",while avoiding the intervention behavior of "attaching importance to hardware and neglecting software".Aiming at the lack of software construction for post-disaster reconstruction in Xueshan Village, the paper puts forward some design concepts based on the regional culture of Xueshan Village, such as redesign of Xueshan Village logo, design of panda theme stamp, design of tea specialt y packaging and design of prenant's schizothoracin catering culture experience. In addition, based on the unsustainable characteristics of design intervention in Xueshan Village,it points out that contemporary design education needs to be transformed urgently. It demonstrates the necessit y of transforming current design education system to cultivate T-t yped design talents.
