Research On The Place Making Of The Transfer Space Of Comprehensive Transportation Hub Of High-speed Railway

With the rapid development of the high-speed railway,China quickly entered the era of high-speed rail,and the basic industry and the trip mode have also undergone tremendous changes.The traffic building with single function mode is gradually developing towards the trend of the tridimensional and comprehensive building,and the traffic nub of the city.Due to the high-speed railway comprehensive transportation hub serves as the interconnected node between cities and the interconnected hub within the city,it plays a more important role than the other public building and becomes the new driver of promoting the economic development in the city.Because the issue of “Standardization” and “Homogenization” has long existed in the space of the railway hub building in China,it weakens gradually the function as the image of the city and causes the “Loss of the sense of place”.Due to the transfer space is the core part of the high-speed rail transportation hub,it does not only need to satisfy the order for the transfer efficiency but also to connect with the transfer-experience of the passenger.It is not only a traffic space but also a part of the urban public space,it will bear more urban functions,and it is a medium to show the image,the culture,the memory and the power of the city.The paper explores mainly the following questions: how to make the space be a convenient,comfortable,efficient and pleasant humanized place,how to transform the anxious filling of passengers when they transfer in the traffic space of the single inherent pattern,and how to help the passenger to enhance the sense of identity and belongingness when they are in the traffic space.In the paper,“Place Making” of the transfer space is the study object in the research of comprehensive transportation hub building of the high-speed railway.The paper explores to find a sense of belonging from the memory and the emotion of people via analysis the concept of “Place” and the special complex relationship between the space and the people.The integration of orientation and humanized design is the development trend of the transfer space,which coincides precisely with the "Place" theory that the "Orientation" and "Identification" together to form a "Sense of Belonging".At the same time,it provides a new perspective and ideas for the innovation of transfer space design.The paper summarizes the benefit of “Place Making” and the need of the transfer space of comprehensive transportation hub of high-speed railway in the new era,which are in the line with the actual conditions of China,through field research,questionnaire,literature review and cases study.Furthermore,it proposes a four-dimensional "Place Making" strategy of the transfer space for the construction of the space relationship the organization of the place circulation,the shaping of the place environment,and the optimization of the place facilities,which promotes to transform the design trend of "Standardization" to "Customization" in the transfer space of the comprehensive transportation hub of high-speed railway in China.The research has certain guiding significance for the design of the transportation hub-type buildings in future.
