Participatory Design(PD)is regarded as a "user-centric" design method because of its outstanding user participation and respect for multiple needs. In order to emphasize the role of children as the core users of educational space and exercise their right to participate and express their demands, the User Experience Map(the Customer Journey Map)is used to observe children's behavior and guide children to participate in design. The "Parallel Planet Children's Learning Center" is an educational institution for child care. The author uses it as a sample to carry out participatory design practices and optimize the "Ladder of Children Participation" proposed by Roger Hart.Through practice,it has been found that children's participation in educational space design has three functions. The first one is to focus design on children;the second is to help children effectively communicate their needs;the third is to optimize children's space experience. In conclusion, the participatory design practice of children's education space should be carried out by multiple children of different ages in an emotional dimension and a spatial function dimension in a multi-level participation mode of indirect participation, direct participation, and joint decision-making.
