The Research On Large Cruise Ship Livery Design

With the vigorous development of China's cruise industry,the independent design and construction of large cruise ships have attracted broad attention from the industry and strong support from the government.Actively promoting the design and construction of large cruise ships is the key development direction of cruise industry in the future.As an important part of the exterior design of cruise ships,livery design is the status symbol of cruise ships which has great influences on the aspects of displaying culture,setting of the shape,enhancing the aesthetic value and increasing the sensory experience of tourists.Therefore,this dissertation studies the livery design of large cruise ships from the perspective of art and design with the purpose is to summarize the design method of large cruise ship livery design.It is hoped that the author' s study could have certain reference significance for the design and development of large cruise ships in China,thus enlightening more and more experts and scholars to conduct indepth research on the livery design of large cruise ships in the future.The dissertation firstly gives a brief description of the related concept,historical development status and the value of cruise ship's livery design.Then the research and analysis of the livery design of large cruise ships are carried out in three aspects.First of all,to research and analyze the brand positioning and style of large cruise ship's livery design,and to summarize the characteristics of livery design with different styles combined with typical cases.Secondly,to research and analyze the theme and material of cruise livery design,discussing the selection and types of theme and material.Subsequently,to research and analyze the form of cruise livery design,including the fundamental components of cruise livery design-color,decorative pattern,logo and text as well as the application of formal beauty principles.Then based on the existing research and analysis,the process and method of large cruise ship livery design are presented.Firstly,the constraint conditions and innovation points that need to be considered beforehand are proposed.After that,the author puts forward the conception and creation method of livery design-setting up conception,selecting theme and material,presenting layout,creating shapes and matching colors.In short,it is to start from cruise ship's brand positioning,then determine the livery design style,use rational analysis and perceptual thinking methods to find inspiration and creative points.With the theme set and the material selected,the colors,patterns,logo and text are to be conceived and created under the guidance of formal beauty principles and the consideration of integral layout,thus completing the livery design scheme.
