Design Of Shihe Cultural Center

This paper is based on a general problem encountered in a project: how urban buildings respond to external landscapes.In view of this problem,this paper selects space strategy as the main angle,and is carried out by literature reading,case study and design practice.This paper is divided into two parts: first part is the study of the project design,and the second part is the study of the selected cases.First part firstly introduced the background of the project and pointed out the main problem it faces.Secondly,the design purpose was proposed,and the design process was analyzed from three aspects: form and space,interface and indoor public space.Finally,the project design drawings of the project were presented.Second part firstly analyzed the type of landscape in city,the relationship between urban building site and external landscape,the type of spatial strategy for urban buiding responding to external landscape.Secondly,different types of cases were analyzed following the idea of “project background—design purpose—design process”.On this basis,the research conclusion was put forward: the spatial strategy of urban building responding to external landscape is leaving a part of the external space between the building and the city,which is to create a public viewing place or the path to the external landscape.Finally,different types of space strategies were summarized from strategy characteristics and design points.
