In theory, there are infinitely diverse possibilities for the answer to architectural design, but in practice, because specific projects must be subject to various external environmental conditions as preconditions, the answer to real operability and implementation value is very limited. In this regard, the architectural design process is a multi-program comparison and optimisation process, and the focus of this research is how this comparison and optimisation are affected by external environmental conditions. The “technical choice” of this study refers to the technical model and engineering of the design designer for specific projects under the influence of external environmental conditions such as topography, climate, property, transportation, economy and construction technology: comprehensive judgments and specific responses made by the model.Granary building is a rural industrial building for storing food. Its primary task is to guarantee the safe storage of food fully.Architects need to go beyond visual aesthetics to understand the interaction between building and external energy. It is necessary to control various physical parameters(such as temperature, humidity, illuminance, etc.)inside the building by adjusting the building materials, structures and equipment. The evolution of modern granary buildings can be seen as a history of more efficient mechanised technology for more efficient entry and exit, larger capacity storage space, and better performance of safe storage technology.Looking back on the development history of granary buildings in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Anhui-Jiangxi region since the founding of the People's Republic of China, although the working principles of “house-type warehouses” and “silos” have not changed significantly, they have been continuously updated in terms of the building structure, materials and equipment.Better grain storage performance, such as “double wall”,“double ventilated roof” and “horizontal ventilation” granary. It can be seen that the “environmental regulation” requirement has become one of the primary goals of granary building design.Based on the perspective of architecture, this study sorts out the development of grain storage policy and granary construction technology through the field investigation of granary buildings in the Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui regions in the second half of the 20 th century, and discusses the granary site selection, cooling and heat prevention technology, and waterproof and moisture-proof technology. The development, the environmental factors behind the evolution and the interaction between them. The full text is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the research theory, which mainly includes the research background, the definition of the research scope and object, the precise research objectives, the review of relevant basic research, the research methods, and the establishment of research programs and technical routes. The second chapter introduces the general situation of granary building in the second half of the 20 th century in Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, environmental conditions, and the development of housing warehouses, silos and earthen warehouses, revealing the development and evolution of modern granaries in the Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui regions.Agricultural production, building technology, climatic conditions and even political systems, economic policies, and transportation development are all inextricably linked. The third chapter analyses the granary samples of the field investigation in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Anhui-Jiangxi region and explores the correspondence between the geographical, chronological, and type distribution of the survey sample and the grain storage policy and climatic conditions,to study the granary construction in the specific environment. The choice of technology under the conditions provides basic information. The fourth chapter discusses the specific impacts of environmental factors on the technical system selection of granary building design. It is the focus of this paper. It mainly discusses how granary site selection responds to traffic and geopolitical conditions;ventilation system, double skin, roofing The application of thermal technology in the cooling and heat insulation of granaries;the difference in waterproof and moisture-proof technical measures for roofs, walls and floors under different environmental conditions. The fifth chapter is the discussion and reflection on this research. It points out the enlightenment and deficiency of the current research on the selection of technical systems and environmental factors in rural industrial buildings. There are more than 57579 words,82 diagrams and 9 illustrations.
