The demand of long-distance-travel passengers keeps soaring with the continually shaping of China High-speed Railway Network and improvements of the overall life quality.Cross-line trains are therefore scheduled for passenger convenience.On the one hand,the cross-line train services can increase the direct-transport rate of passenger-flow.On another hand,however,these services can affect the capacity utilization of railway lines,especially when lines are regarded as main channels of the network.Based on this background,it is necessary to optimize the overall rate of cross-line train services in a train line plan(also been called as the rate of cross-line trains)and total running distances of cross-line trains,which also can achieve a Balance of Passenger Transport Utility and the Capacity Utilization(BPTUCU)of the network.This thesis has analyzed factors of the capacity utilization influence and the passenger transport utility.A Cross-line Train Line Plan Optimization(CTLPO)Model where the goal is to achieve a capacity improvement is introduced.In this model,a suitable rate of cross-line trains and their running distances are achieved by defining flexible Origin Points and Destination Points(OPDPs).As another result,a BPTUCU is delivered.This thesis has pointed out an algorithm that solves CTLPO by optimizing divided periods.A case study of Beijing-Shanghai(Jinghu)Line and its connecting lines is given for Verification and Validation(V&V)of CTLPO.The detailed research contents are as follows.1.The influence factors exerted by cross-line trains which includes speed differences,calling points differences,available adjustment periods for line-changing and the stability of a time-space diagram have been explained in detailed.A current situation of Jinghu Line is studied on the perspectives of the match between the train-flow of cross-line trains and their effects on capacity utilization.This chapter provides a solid foundation for CTLPO.2.The CTLPO Model is designed where main constraints are flexible OPDPs.This model has also considered available adjustment periods for line-changing,transferring and connecting time,stopping time,safety headways,the sequence of train services and maintenance periods.A reasonable amount of cross-line trains and their running distances and an optimized BPCTU are achieved.The algorithm is tested by large number of calculation cases.3.The case study has covered Jinghu Line and its connecting lines.The CTLPO is adopted for V&V by setting different element values.A summary of capacity utilization influence and passenger transport utility is stated in great detailed where aspects are adjustment periods for line-changing,transferring and connecting periods,OPDPs pool and the weights of OPDPs.Optimization suggestions for the train line plan of Jinghu Line are concluded.Figure: 33,table: 23,reference: 62.
