China's economy has developed rapidly and the living standards of residents have been greatly improved,and the number of private cars has ballooned,resulting in increasingly serious urban traffic congestion.The key to solve this problem is to develop public transportation.As an important part of urban public transport,bus is the main mode of transportation for residents in Chinese cities,especially small and medium-sized cities.At present,many cities in China use traditional bus scheduling method to operate public transportation.Some cities use Limited-stop bus scheduling or Short-turn bus scheduling for certain routes.This combined scheduling method is more suitable for the lines with obvious passenger flow difference in station or segment,but there is still room for improvement.Based on the characteristics of Limited-stop bus scheduling and Short-turn bus scheduling,this paper proposes a combined bus scheduling model(after referred to as Short-limited-stop combined bus scheduling model),and considers the passenger's choice behavior according to the reality.First of all,this paper introduces the traditional combined bus scheduling form,line passenger flow investigation theory and OD estimation theory.Secondly,based on the classic OD estimation model,this paper proposes an OD estimation model based on station land use properties and passenger travel characteristics,and verifies its practicability with one example,The results show that compared with the classic OD estimation model,the OD matrix calculated by the optimized OD estimation model has a higher accuracy.Then,according to the types of bus stations,this paper constructs an OD passenger flow allocation model that considers passengers choice behavior,called BL model and the MNL model,this model redistributes the OD matrix obtained by the optimized OD estimation model,the OD passenger flow is more in line with the actual situation.Thirdly,this paper proposes a Short-limited-stop combined bus scheduling model to minimize the total system cost.The constraints of this model are departure interval,the maximum load factor of passenger section,and the departure frequency.The genetic algorithm is used to solve the model.The model takes into account three scheduling modes: All-stop,Limited-stop and Short-turn.Compared with the traditional combined scheduling mode,the total system cost of the Short-limited-stop model is further reduced.Finally,this paper takes Beijing No.651 bus as an empirical case.It conducts a follow-up survey on No.651 bus,and then this paper analyzes the sample of passenger flow data.It uses the OD estimation model to obtain the OD matrix,which is substituted into the Short-Limited-stop combined bus scheduling model.This paper also did a sensitivity analysis.The results show that the total system cost of Short-Limited-stop scheduling model constructed in this paper is superior to the traditional scheduling method,and the model can effectively reduce the total cost of public transportation system.
