Driven by current resource and environmental pressures, policy support and technological progress, the automotive industry continues to develop towards intelligence, electrification, and networking.Under the influence of this trend, the replacement of mechanical systems by electronic systems has become the focus of the development of the automotive industry, and the automotive electronics industry has entered a stage of rapid development.H Company is a high-tech company engaged in the R & D and production of electronic products in the automotive field and solution consulting services. However, the company's inventory management level is limited, materials are duplicated, lacking of a sharing mechanism and inventory costs remain high.It is faced with problems, the materials between different warehouses brought by decentralized procurement and decentralized storage cannot be mixed and transferred, which caused by the distribution of various business departments and warehouses in 15 locations in 8 cities across the country. Therefore, the study of H company's material inventory management not only enriches the theory of inventory management, but also has great significance for reducing the company's total cost and improving inventory management.Based on this, this paper studies the problem of centralized inventory management of automotive electronic materials of H company.First, summarize and sort out the relevant theories and literature;describe the current situation and problems faced by H Company in inventory management, and analyze the deep-seated causes of inventory problems. Then, combining the relevant theory to analyze the actual situation of the H company's materials,it is proposed to use the combination of ABC and Kraljic matrix to classify and filter the materials, and select the materials suitable for centralized management. On this basis,it is established that the H company's material management concept is relatively centralized management, that is,only materials that are suitable for centralized inventory are managed centrally, and other materials still continue the previous management method.Secondly,a total cost model including transportation costs, inventory costs,out-of-stock costs, operating costs, and procurement costs was established to solve the problems of concentration point selection and inventory allocation.Considering that some materials of H company have special requirements for storage conditions, this article adds a disposal cost to the inventory cost, and incorporates the cost of material elimination or loss into the inventory cost;Storage conditions require that the height be quantified as the size of the operating cost factor. Finally, combined with the actual situation of H Company, the feasibility and practicability of the centralized inventory management model were verified by example analysis, and the material management opinions were put forward.Research has proved that centralized inventory management has obvious effects for those materials with large inventory, wide inventory distribution and strong versatility;for others that do not meet the corresponding requirements, centralized inventory management is not carried out.The study also found that the difference in the number of concentration points makes different effects on the total cost.Through the above researches, the problem of H company inventory management has been solved and the total cost has been reduced,to a certain extent. The research optimizes the H company's inventory allocation problem, which helps to reduce costs and improve the company's overall efficiency. It also provides management inspiration and practical cases for managers in the automotive electronics industry or other industries. At the same time, this study also enriches the research on centralized inventory management to a certain extent. There are 45 figures,20 tables and 69 references in this article.
