| The piston oil ring is an important part of piston ring groups of internal combustion engine,and its performance directly affects the oil scraping and lubricating oil consumption.When designing the piston oil ring,it is necessary to consider the relationship among its structure,size,elasticity and other parameters.In this paper,taking the piston oil ring as the research object,the following works have been completed:(1)Three common types of piston oil rings are discussed.According to the characteristics of each kind of piston oil ring structure,the calculation formulas suitable for three kinds of piston oil rings design parameters are derived respectively.For the single oil control ring,its design parameters include the elasticity,surface pressure,free gap,maximum working stress and maximum installation stress.For the coil-spring-loaded oil control ring,its design parameters include the combined elasticity,surface pressure,compliance,maximum working stress and maximum installation stress.For the expander/segment oil control ring,its design parameters include the combined elasticity,surface pressure and installation property.(2)The piston oil ring design software is compiled by using Visual Basic language.The software is composed of three modules: parameters input module,oil rings calculation module and calculation results output module.The parameters input module is divided into three parts: internal combustion engine parameters input,piston information input and cylinder liner information input.The oil rings calculation module is divided into three parts: different types of oil rings calculation,different structures of oil rings calculation and different calculation benchmarks of oil rings calculation.The calculation results output module is divided into four parts: oil rings calculation results output,oil rings cross-section graph output,calculation results evaluation and data preservation.In addition,the software design requires every new user to complete the account application when using the software,and can log in and use the software only after being authorized by the administrator.(3)Three kinds of common piston oil rings are designed respectively by using the compiled piston oil rings design software,and qualified piston oil rings are produced.The error between the measured value and the calculated value for each type of piston oil ring is compared,which proves that the software is reliable for the design of pistonoil rings,can improve the design efficiency of piston oil rings and reduce the production cost of piston oil rings. |
