With the consumption of energy and environmental pollution,the internal combustion engine will develop in the direction of high efficiency,high load,high speed and long life.The piston ring is an important part of the internal combustion engine ring set.The working performance of the piston ring directly affects the dynamic index,economic index,emission index,reliability index and durability index of the internal combustion engine.Therefore,in order to meet the increasingly high requirements for internal combustion engines in actual production and application,it is necessary to constantly explore and research new internal combustion engine piston ring materials,surface treatment technology,lubrication friction treatment technology and manufacturing technology.In this paper,under the support of the “ piston ring design software development”project of industry-university-research,the software design of the second piston air ring was carried out.main tasks as follows:(1)The calculation formulas involved in the design of 134 piston rings and gas rings are deduced and sorted in detail.(2)Compiled the design software of the second air ring of the piston.The design software can complete the input,storage and recall of customer information and data related to the design and production process of the piston ring;design calculation by drawing relevant data such as the experience database,standard database and wire library;grab important data for reporting Show the form to customers and designers;calculate the piston ring working stress,installation stress,free opening,moment of inertia,inertial product,K-factor,mass,backlash and backlash,etc.;automatically generate corresponding piston ring cross-sectional graphics.Realize the digital management of the piston ring from design to production,greatly improve work efficiency and reduce manual errors.(3)Compiled 4 sets of calculation programs for the second piston air ring design software,respectively based on the piston ring tangential spring force,K-coefficient,surface pressure and free opening,which can be switched freely and based on four calculation standards The premise is to write the calculation code for each type of piston ring,and to design new types of piston rings.(4)The actual operation and test verification of the design software of the second piston air ring.The results show that the software can meet the corresponding functional requirements and meet the expected technical indicators.
