Research On The Locality Of Public Art Intervening In Traditional Village

From the first rural construction in 1920s to the "beautiful countryside" proposed by the state in 2018,rural construction is still a hot topic after nearly a century.Inheritance is the first step of rural construction.The real significance of rural construction lies in activation.At present,the public art design in traditional villages in China is affected by urbanization,and there are some problems such as not obvious local characteristics,lack of subject identity,uncoordinated with the village environment,and homogenization of works.At the same time,art village construction is in full swing,and artists are exploring more possibilities for public art to intervene in rural construction.Local,in the land,the spirit of the place has also become the focus of attention.Therefore,this paper proposes to study the "locality" of public art's intervention in traditional villages.Therefore,this paper proposes to study the "local" nature of public art in traditional villages.Through the in-depth analysis of rural construction,local characteristics and the meaning of public art,this paper summarizes the concept and connotation of local characteristics of public art.From the analysis of the meaning and elements of the local character to the summary of the strategic principles of the local character's intervention.In terms of breadth and depth,this paper holds the meaning of the local nature of public art,and puts forward the understanding of the local nature from the four levels of "local","time","people" and "society".The local analysis of public art's involvement in traditional villages closely centers on the geographical environment and human history of villages.First of all,this paper explains the "local character",which emphasizes that the specific place is not the inherent style and formalization,more micro emotional identity rather than the macro narrative.Then,combing the theory and method of public art's involvement in the local characteristics of traditional villages,from the intervention strategy,design principles,performance methods and other aspects of research.Among them,the expression methods of local characteristics are mainly from five aspects: background research,point layout,theme content,expression methods and material selection.Furthermore,it points out the role of local public art in the activation of traditional villages and the promotion of the overall environment.On the basis of theoretical analysis,this paper chooses Huang Village in Xiuning County,Huangshan as thepractice base of local public art.Through the on-site investigation of Huang Village in Xiuning County,the excavation of traditional culture,and the design of local public art works,this is the theoretical support and test.Hope to provide the corresponding reference for the current rural practice in full swing,and create a public art works with the sense of identity and local characteristics in the traditional villages.
