Study On The Relationship Between Recreational Facilities And Environmental Behavior In Residential Area

Since the founding of the people’s Republic of China,the evolution of residential areas has gone through three main stages: from "unit courtyard" to "closed community",until the Central State Council proposed to promote the block system in 2016.In the process of the evolution of residential form,the landscape environment facilities outside the residential area not only enrich the spatial form of the residential area,but also carry a lot of behavior activities outside the residential area.Among them,recreational facilities as an important part of landscape environmental facilities can not be ignored.Based on this background,this study selects 28 residential districts in Hefei,which have been built in the past ten years,mainly in the form of high-rise buildings,supplemented by the form of high-rise and multi-storey composite buildings.Through the combination of quantitative methods such as behavior observation,graphical record,principal component analysis,cluster analysis and qualitative analysis,the environmental behavior and psychology of residents are studied from the perspective of spatial characteristics.In this study,three main influencing factors of the spatial characteristics of the field composed of recreational facilities are summarized by extracting the influencing factors of the characteristics of the samples.They are respectively: "open accessibility","facility form" and "functionality".According to this,eight types of space are summed up: recreation space for fitness and entertainment,recreation space for trees and pools,recreation space for compound,recreation space for sitting and passing,recreation space for sitting and square,recreation space for gallery Plaza,recreation space for auxiliary,recreation space for gallery Plaza.Secondly,through the behavior observation,the correlation between the behavior distribution and the space of recreational facilities is quantified.It is found that the space type with high degree of openness,good sight,abundant facilities in the space,obvious boundary is more likely to induce the behavior,and there is no difference between the advantages and disadvantages of the space nature of various types of recreational facilities,which will induce the behavior.Then,it qualitatively analyzes the mutual influence of various elements in the field space,residents’ behavior activities and interpersonal interaction distance.Finally,four optimization strategies are put forward for the renewal of the space of recreational facilities: to create a suitable space for the residents’ environmental psychology;to pay attention to the mutual influence between the facilities themselves;to give full play to the influence of interpersonal communication on the layout of facilities in the space;to take into account the use needs of different age groups and set up corresponding operation models.This study show positive significance to improve the comfort of residents in the space of recreational facilities and the utilization efficiency of the space itself,to create a recreational space suitable for residents to produce behaviors,and to improve the overall quality of the external environment of the residential area.
