Electricity is the main energy consumption in water distribution system(WDS),and it accounts for a significant proportion of the running cost.Along with a growing awareness of environmental issues,there is a growing interest in energy conservation research for a variety of industrial applications,in case of sustainable living and limited energy supplies.Thus,this paper purpose is optimal scheduling of water pump group.This paper adopts dynamic liquid level model for clean water tank and a energy model predictive control strategy for water intake pump station.The main operational goal are energy-saving and cost-reducing,while guaranteeing WDS with required flows and pressures.First,prediction of WDS data is on the basis of statistical analysis.And then the dynamic regulation and storage function of the clear water tank are studied.Finally,the optimization problem is solved within the relevant time dynamics of the water pump system.And the water intake pump station can be dispatched to ensure the balance of WDS.The results show that 2.52% energy saving can be achieved by using dynamic energy prediction model at the best optimal research.The main research results are as follows:(1)In this paper,the storage and regulation system for the department of WDS is studied.By using the historical data of 3 years,this study analyzed the change trend of liquid level in the clear water tank and illustrated the actual operation condition of the clear water tank.In addition,combined with the production regulation of the water works,the potential of the water storage system of the clear water tank was tapped under the requirement of ensuring the water production balance.Thus,it saves the power consumption cost.(2)This paper designed a scheme of the pump set collocation.After studying the water pump group's composed of six water pumps(four fixed-frequency pumps and two variable frequency pumps)in the water works,by measuring their flow,head,power and other characteristics,the water pump collocation scheme and running time were set reasonably,which reduced the opening and closing times of the pump group and weakened the instantaneous pressure.(3)In this paper,real-time(or quasi-real-time)optimal control strategy and predictive optimal control strategy are realized.According to the working characteristics of the pump group,the idea of dynamic programming and the particle swarm optimization algorithm(PSO)are adopted to optimize the controlling in real time(or quasi-real time)for the changing of liquid level in the clear water tank and the operation consumption of the pump group.Based on the real-time optimization control strategy,the scheduling strategy for pump group on the next 24 hours is realized.The results show that the strategy can save energy and reduce consumption about 2.52%.
