This paper based on the problem that asphalt pavement is prone to form thin and smooth "black ice" on road surface and bridge deck in winter,resulting in the decline of pavement anti-skid performance and affecting road safety.What’s more,the ice can lead to the decrease of the anti-skid performance of the pavement and the safety of road traffic.Through adding slow released anti-freezing material to asphalt mixture,the active antifreezing technology could lower the freezing point of the pavement,which can reduce the formation of the black ice on the surface.And it is the development direction of antifreezing asphalt pavement.At present,there is no mature commercialized anti-freezing agent in China,but depend on the imported products,which means high costs.What’s more,the effect of the addition of anti-freezing agent on the performance of the mixture is not clear.In view of the existing problems in the application of anti-freezing asphalt pavement.It is of great practical significance to carry out research on key technologies of ultra-thin pavement based on improving road surface anti-freezing performance.Also it has important practical significance for improving the anti-freezing ability of ultra-thin asphalt concrete and improving driving safety.Based on the existing research and application status of anti-freezing agents at home and abroad,this paper put forward the design concept of a new slow-release anti-freezing,and developed a commercial LX-I anti-freezing product,also established a technical index system of anti-freezing agent.What’s more,two kinds of anti-freezing asphalt mixture(AFC-10 and AFC-13)are designed to meet the different needs of the service life and thickness of anti-freezing asphalt pavement.The short-term and long-term pavement performance is evaluated,and the evolution law of AFC mixture with the release of antifreezing is confirmed.The design and performance index system of AFC-10 and AFC-13 asphalt pavement mixture are established.The paper designed and developed the low temperature and freezing test,the drawing test of ice layer interface,the ice breaking test and the change of BPN of AFC asphalt pavement at low temperature,and also established the evaluation system of the anti-freezing properties of AFC asphalt mixture.The study selected the representative sections to carry out the research of test road,and forms the construction technology and evaluation standards of the AFC asphalt pavement,and analyzed the social and economic benefits by the life cycle analysis method.
