Crawler excavator is one of the widely used engineering machinery in China,and the hydraulic traveling technique is an important sign displaying development level of the crawler excavator.As the key component of crawler excavator hydraulic traveling system,the design and manufacturing ability of traveling hydraulic motor plays a crucial role in the performance of the excavator traveling system.The traveling condition of crawler excavator is very bad,and the space of traveling system is narrow.Therefore,the hydraulic traveling motor requires a reasonable structure,which can be easily integrated with other components to meet the requirements of performance,and also has the characteristics of compact structure,small volume.At present,the key technology of the hydraulic traveling motor is monopolized basically by foreign companies,and most of the domestic market demand depends on import.Although some domestic enterprises have been trying to break through the key technology,but also there are significant gaps,which seriously affect the healthy development of China's construction machinery industry.In view of that market demand of the traveling motor of medium-sized crawler hydraulic excavator,a compact structure of the swash plate axial piston motor is developed which can meet the application of the limited space installation dimension of the medium-sized crawler excavator and replaces the imported products with the same specifications.Firstly,based on the performance requirements of the middle-sized crawler excavator traveling system,the structure of the swash plate axial piston traveling motor has been designed according to its working principle and performance index,then the parameters and stress analysis of the main parts including piston,shoe,cylinder block and valve plate are carried out.Secondly,the mathematical model of cylinder block size optimization is established by using MATLAB software which can optimize the structure size parameters of the cylinder block and cylinder volume,to meet the characteristics of compact structure under the premise of meeting the cylinder block working strength requirement.At the same time,using the powerful entity modeling function of Creo software,the 3d model of the parts is set up,and the spatial structure interference analysis is carried out after the product's virtual assembly.Thirdly,the static simulation of key parts with ANSYS simulation software,and the AMESim simulation model of the torque and speed dynamic characteristics are carried out to complete the final design results.Finally,the correctness and effectiveness of the product structure design are verified through the assembly and performance test of the prototype.
