Study On The Recreational Activities Of The "Bianjing Eight Views" Garden In The Northern Song Dynasty

“The Eight Views of Bianjing” was the emergence and development of the Northern Song Dynasty since the Northern Song Dynasty,and it is also a typical representative of the public tourist sites at that time.The publicity of the gardens in the Northern Song Dynasty generally appeared.The public places with high participation inside and outside the city also developed.Under the influence of economic,political,cultural,artistic and other social developments and the influence of the “Eight Views”culture,The gardens of the Bianjing Eight Views show a strong representation and influence,and play an important role in the organization of public garden activities and the impact on future generations of gardens.Through the use of historical data interpretation method,inductive summarization method,and traceability recovery method,this paper interprets the historical sources,the landscape creation and the recreation activity culture of the Bianjing public garden classics.On the basis of previous studies on the population,economy,layout and appearance of the “Beijing Eight Landscapes”,the predecessors analyzed the social environment,the characteristics of landscape construction and the organization of cultural activities.From the aspects of urban humanities and customs activities,this paper summarizes the characteristics of the “Bianjing Eight Views” garden recreation activities,and further considers and summarizes the actual functions and influences of the “Bianjing Eight Views” on the city.Ancient Chinese gardens have cultural-centered characteristics.The appreciation of natural scenery and the creation of artificial gardens are inseparable from the support of cultural connotations.This paper firstly sorts out the development and evolution process of “Bianjing Eight Views”,including the changes of its urban history,thechanges of the eight scenic spots and the location of its spatial position,from the history of both Bianzhou City and “Beijing Eight Views”.The evolution process has drawn the important role of “Eight Views” in urban development.Secondly,through the summarization of the “Eight Views” landscape construction model,the “Eight Views”control the urban spatial pattern and the combination with urban functions,and select“the eight scenic spots in Bianjing”.The typical landscape space in the middle of the city has been analyzed in detail.From its landscape space and garden style and activities,it tries to restore and reproduce the “view” of the “Bianjing Eight Views” garden tour activities.Third,on the basis of spatial analysis,Further explore the urban customs and culture of Bianjing,and connect the garden tour activities in the “ Bianjing Eight Views” with the urban customs and cultures,expound the “literature” characteristics behind the ancient Chinese gardens.Finally,sum up the successful experience and inspiration of the research.Through the successful cases inspired by these experiences in modern gardens,the significance and influence of the “Eight Views” model on reality is proved.
