With the rapid development of urban modernization construction in China,the demand of urban residents for improving the quality of life is constantly increasing,and the urban water supply as the infrastructure of a city is facing increasing demand of quality improvement.It has become an urgent problem for water supply companies to maintain the water quality at the “drinking water sanitary standard”(GB5749-2006)or even above it.This article combines the actual situation of Chang'an water treatment facility of Xi'an,through the comparative analysis of the operation data before and after the upgrading of the facility,starting from the initial design and operation situation,focusing on the specific upgrading technical scheme for the dosing system,disinfection system,automation system and operation process.The unit consumption of coagulant,coagulant-aid and disinfectant in the dosing system has been reduced by about 31.1%,46.5% and 22.9% respectively.The average residual chlorine increased by 21.8%.The quality of water in the factory meets the national standard,but the turbidity of produced water has not been significantly improved.According to the comprehensive analysis,the inadequate water treatment design and implementation standard are the causing issues.The improved automatic dosing system has stronger dosing stability that can automatically add chemicals according to the raw water quality and process water quality feedback,which greatly reduces the inconstancy of manual dosing and saves the labor cost.The safety of sodium hypochlorite generator disinfection system is stronger,and the disinfection efficiency has been improved.The initial transformation of the automation system solved the problem that the previous data could not monitor centrally,and concentrated the data of each link in the new central control room,laid a foundation for the operation mode of centralized management and decentralized control in the future.The implementation results show that: in accordance with the local conditions,combined with the actual development of the process system transformation and upgrading,we have achieved success at a certain level.At the same time of financial perspective,it can obviously improve the safety and reliability of production and the quality of water supply.It provides a reference for water plants with similar construction years and earlier implementation standards under the same working conditions in the surrounding areas.
