Research On The Application Of Emotional Design Of Urban Road Landscape

With the further development of China’s urban economic construction,urban functions are becoming more and more perfect.As a landmark of urban development,urban roads have gradually shifted from functional needs to emotional needs.However,the existing road landscape in China ignores the spiritual needs of people as users and stays in the design level of satisfying the external aesthetic form and function.The transformation of the city has lost its original emotional charm and become a functional human transport channel.As a result,the assimilation of China’s road landscape is serious,the unique humanistic feelings of the city gradually disappear,and the unique internal emotional inheritance of China is lost in the process of the rapid development of the country.The demand of emotionalized design concept in urban road landscape has emerged,which is of great significance for improving the quality of urban landscape,improving the living environment and highlighting the road landscape.This paper introduces the concept of "emotional design" proposed by Donald a.Norman,A cognitive psychologist,into the urban road landscape design,and puts forward the specific design concept of "emotional design of urban road landscape",and briefly summarizes the necessity of emotional design in urban road landscape.Secondly,by analyzing the existing road of xi ’an research explore xi road landscape in emotional embodiment,a quantitative analysis to the questionnaire result,determine the content of this article research on the influence of the emotional design,summed up the practical cases in the emotional design of success and shortcomings,to propose principles of designing urban road landscape emotional.At the same time,according to the visual elements,spatial functions and emotional experience,the corresponding design strategies are put forward,and the value that the emotional design of urban road landscape can bring to the city is discussed.Finally,taking Qintang avenue in Lintong district of xi ’an city as a practical case,the proposed emotional design strategy is applied.
