Architectures are alive,they have got their life process of construction,facilitating,abandoning,declination and all the way to dying out.Abandoned building spaces,therefore,are there in status of live buildings,who are in coexistence with construction spaces.But the abandoned building spaces are facing problems of being ignored by the public.Actually,the abandoned building spaces are coated with their special sequence and atmosphere by time for us to read and perceive.This article,with studies on samples of abandoned building spaces on the basis of perception,exploits eternal forms and inner characters of abandoned building spaces through dimensions of vision and conception.It is expected in the study to provide a vision and analysis method of perceiving abandoned building spaces and provoke inspirations in reusing the abandoned building spaces.The study contains five parts,The first part,which is preface for the study,briefs background,object,purpose and significance of the study.The second part includes summary of abandoned building spaces and details of perceptive vision.It summarizes causes for abandoned building spaces and outlines the historic clues of the spaces as an aesthetic subject.In this part,the concept of double dimension of perception is proposed and an attempt to relate the study object and sight vision is implanted so as to provide probability for further interpretation of abandoned building spaces.Part three analyses space with its form of boundary,combination relationship,route and vision,and surface characters of interfaces of visual dimensions of perception.Part four analyses the abandoned building spaces in perceptive dimension of perceptions by viewing space serenity,chronic reveal of building materials and the process of transmission from abstraction to objectiveness.The fifth part attempts to explore inspirations of the study on reuse of abandoned building spaces from aspects of reconstructing spacial order(visual dimensions of perception)and moulding spacial atmosphere(perceptive dimension of perceptions),with former studies and large volumes of practical cases.
