Solar road lamp is a new type of lighting mode with sustainable development characteristics.Compared with traditional road lamp,solar road lamps are simple to install,cost saving,energy saving,and environment protecting.However,the performance degradation of the battery pack in solar road lamp will happen in low-temperature environments,which seriously affects the lighting time and service life of solar road lamp,and limits the use of road lamp at alpine region.In order to ensure the use of solar road lamp at low temperature normally,it is necessary that the study on thermal insulation and heating at low temperature should be conducted for solar road lamp battery packs Relying on a scientific research and development project of Shenzhen Yuanchuang Intelligent Lighting Co.,Ltd..Based on the new type of solar road lamp for the company,the testing of performance at low temperature was conducted.And the system of thermal insulation and heating was designed for the battery pack.The main contents completed are as follows:(1)According the relevant test standard of battery.the testing of performance at low temperature was performed for the battery pack of Shenzhen Yuanchuang Intelligent Lighting Co.,Ltd.it is concluded that the discharge capacity,discharge voltage and discharge times of the battery pack decrease with the decrease of temperature.So the study of heat preservation and heating should be performed,which lays the foundation for the system of heat preservation and heating.(2)The heat transfer mode has been confirmed and the thermophysical parameter of battery pack has been calculated,the 3D modal of battery pack was established based on the above theory and the influence of the external environment on the model was analyzed to verify the correctness of the thermal model.(3)According the heat transfer theory,the model of heat preservation,heating and all above two were established.Through the insulation model to simulate the insulation effect of different insulation materials and insulation layer thickness on the battery pack,which confirm the type and thickness of insulation layer for insulation system.Through the heating model to simulate the heat effect of different heat element and its installation mode on the battery pack,which confirm the type and installation mode of heat element for insulation system.Finally,through the insulation heat model to simulate the insulation heat of insulation heat system effect on the the low temperature solar road lamp.(4)In order to verify the correctness of the thickness and heating method and installation method of the selected insulation material and insulation layer,the insulation test,heating test and insulation heating test were carried out.Based on numerical simulation,experimental analysis and reference to the installation environment and characteristics of solar street lights,a thermal insulation heating system suitable for solar street lights is designed.The results of this study provide a basis for the research on the thermal insulation of solar street lamps in low temperature environments,and have certain reference value for improving the performance of battery packs in low temperature environments.
