Research On The Street Square Of Yuexiu Old District In Guangzhou

As an important part of the public space in the urban street system,the street square is a place for citizens to gather,communication and activities.It is close to people’s daily life,to a certain extent,reflects the quality of people’s urban life,is the embodiment of urban vitality,and the display of urban humanity and feelings.After consulting many examples of street squares and observing the current use of street squares in Guangzhou,the author has a lot of questions: 1.What kind of can be called Street Square? What are the similarities,differences and relations between these street squares? What is the distribution of street squares in Guangzhou? What problems are available in the current use of these squares? How about people’s communication and activities on the street squares? Be the matter any guidelines for the design of street squares?Based on these questions,this paper studies in the following ways:The first chapter is introduced part,which mainly describes the research background,research purpose and significance,research object and method,research status at home and abroad,and puts forward the research framework of this paper.The second chapter is related theory and street square description framework.After studying,analyzing and summarizing many related theories at home and abroad,a set of relatively intact street square description theoretical framework is established and put forward,which provides a theoretical basis for the following specific case study.The third chapter mainly carries out the research of specific cases.Through the preliminary investigation and data analysis,it selects 14 typical street squares in Yuexiu district of Guangzhou as specific cases,and conducts in-depth investigation and research on them.Through field investigation,observation,questionnaire survey and other research methods,it records the current situation and use of street square cases,and describes the theory in the front under the framework,summarize the survey data.The fourth chapter is mainly the summary and analysis of the commonness,characteristics and shortcomings of Yuexiu district street square in Guangzhou.Through horizontal comparison of 14 street square cases,it analyzes the commonness and characteristics,summarizes the advantages and disadvantages,and makes a comparative analysis with the relevant street square cases at home and abroad,and draws the similarities and differences of the characteristics and the insufficient supplement.Build on the previous research,the fifth chapter puts forward the design guidelines of streets and squares in the old urban area of Guangzhou,including the design core ideas and intentions,design methods and key points.Based on the analysis and research of street square in Yuexiu district of Guangzhou,this paper provides some reference and guidance for the micro transformation and design of street square in the old urban area of Guangzhou,and academic reference and experience for the regional development and spiritual and cultural construction of street square in the city.
