| In the context of the shortage of urban land and the sudden increase of traffic pressure, the TOD concept with public transportation as the core has been gradually applied to more and more station areas planning and design. However, some station areas have problems such as unreasonable land structure and blind high-intensity development. In this context,it is increasingly necessary to carry out research on station areas. This paper uses three typical subway station areas in Guangzhou as a research sample, combining space syntax and multivariate data, based on different dimensions, from the perspective of geographical features, public transport interchange, land use and block environment. The spatial characteristics of the station areas in the downtown area of Guangzhou.are compared to analyze their respective characteristics, summarize the law of development and make clear the problems, with a view to providing guidance and reference for the space construction and development of future station areas. At the same time,it makes up for the shortcomings of the research methods and scales of the station areas. The research shows that the spatial forms of the three sample station areas basically have the characteristics of high density and mixed functions, which indicates that there is no shortage of these two land characteristics in Guangzhou station areas, and the planning and design should focus on construction of public transport interchange and walking block environment. The Zhujiang New Town station area is located in the new urban area, which is a central TOD.Under the influence of CBD and urban axis, the land functions are concentrated. The land is divided into blocks on a large scale and the degree of grid of streets inside the blocks is not enough, which weakens the walkability of streets on a community scale; The Gongyuanqian station area belongs to regional TOD.Its street network has a strong accessibility, which plays a strong role in building the flow of people and facilitates the transfer of buses. Many large commercial and office facilities are concentrated in the close range of the station. In the later period, due to the complexity of land demolition cost and ownership, the reconstructed and updated plots are small and scattered, which cannot give full play to the role of high-intensity construction;Changshou road station is located in the old city, with "guangzhou traditional commercial pedestrian street" as the main planning and design strategy. The street has many levels with strong walkability, which can rich walking experience, but the bus transfer distance is too long. The building density of the original site is relatively large. In order to cope with the high demolition cost, some urban renewal and transformation works in the later period often set a high floor area ratio, ignoring the demand for public space of station area planning and design, which not only fails to give full play to the role of high-intensity development, but also causes certain damage to the pedestrian environment and public interests of the block.Although the TOD concept is basically consistent with the current sustainable development goals of cities in China and has strong development potential,it still faces many problems in implementing TOD in urban built-up areas with complex spatial forms. This also indicates that in the process of planning and design of the station area,TOD mode cannot be rigidly copied, and certain adjustments should be made according to the planning background and type of the station area,so as to promote the benign development of the city. |
