In the process of rapid urbanization in China, the urban d evelopment model needs to change from rough to fine.Previous research on urban living stree t space has mainly focused on the physical space design level, and how t he built environment of the street promotes the occurrence of slow-moving physical activities in the city and how to promote social public health has important research value for improving the quality of life of urban residents. The influence mechanism of built environment on walking activities is more complex, and behavioral activities are closely related to behavioral psychology.Among them,self-efficacy is an important influencing f actor of individual behavior.Using self-efficacy as the starting point,a structural equation mediation model is constructed, which is conducive to cognitive str eet Impact mechanism of walking activities.Combing the research results on physical activity and self-efficacy,analyzing how self-efficacy affects individual walking behavior, and the relationship between street environmental elements and self-efficacy are the prerequisites of the study.By issuing questionnaires, sort out and screen out valid questionnaires and related street environmental elements that can be used to measure self-efficacy of walking.Street environmental elements are mainly subjective perceived variables, including accessibility, safety, walking infrastructure, comfort, and pleasure. And connectivity obtains objective data through GIS.The survey scope was determined according to the density distribution of residential areas in Shenzhen.Four districts located in Nanshan District,Shenzhen were selected to ensure that the distric ts are mainly living streets.Through SPSS and Amos software, structural equation model analysis was conducted to study the mediating effect of self-efficacy between the built environment of the residential area and the residents’ walking activities, and t he regulating role of social demographic characteristics in the process.According to the model results, street environmental factors can indirectly influence individuals’ walking behavior through self-efficacy.The analysis shows that in the accessibility-leisure walking activity, walking infrastructure-leisure walking activity,safety-commuter-type walking activity, and safetyleisure walking activity, the interm ediary effect of self-efficacy is significant and complete.intermediary.And some socio-demographic characteristic variables can play a regulating role in it.The st udy also found that in commuting walking activities, only safety perception would have a m ediating effect on selfefficacy,so self-efficacy had a greater impact on leisure walking act ivities. The conclusion can provide reference for the formulation of urb an street environment design strategies in the future.
