University gymnasiums in severe cold regions have two basic features,which ara high utilization and high energy consumption.With the increase of crowd number and event capacity,the contradiction of energy consumption has become significantly prominent,which is promoting the demand for performance-oriented design research.Compared with ordinary social avenues,university gymnasiums have higher standards in terms of program richness,intensiveness,and flexibility.The space model is more complicated.Different types of space correspond to different indoor physical performance requirements.In this context,this article explores the method of achieving passive energy saving by spatial arrangement in university gymnasiums,which makes energy consumption regulation returns to the architectural space design ontology.Firstly,theoretical basis on spatial layout of university gymnasiums in severe cold regions is analyzed,and a design evaluation method based on dynamic energy consumption calculation is proposed.A quantitative analysis of the climate in severe cold regions is carried out.Combining vertically historical comparison and horizontally domestic and foreign comparison,the operating position and spatial model of the university gymnasium are clarified,and the theoretical research is supplemented by a sufficient number of case investigations.On this basis,the spatial elements of the university gymnasiums are divided,and the requirements of sports technology of competition sapce,training sapce,audience space and auxiliary space are studied,which lays a foundation for the construction of experimental model.Secondly,based on the theoretical analysis basis,the experimental purpose and process are clarified,variables and evaluation indicators are set.Rhino + Grasshopper is selected as the modeling platform,and Ladybug + Honeybee is selected as the energy consumption simulation platform.The simulation experiment is divided into two progressive stages.The first stage is the overall simulation experiment of district organization,which studies the ratio of gymnasium and the division relationship between competition sapce and training space.The second stage is the simulation experiment of specific space layout,which studies on the internal organization of training space and audience space.The two simulation stages are continuous,ensuring that model construction and design research are deepened simultaneously.Finally,based on Design Explorer platform,visual comparison of experimental data is analyzed.Based on SPSS software,the regression equation of energy consumption and spatial layout is calculated.The research ideas of spatial layout "energy contours" is innovatively proposed.Combining the general energy-saving laws with actual design cases,the overall layout design strategy of university gymnasiums in severe cold regions is proposed from two aspects,which are ratio selection and division relationship between competition sapce and training space.The specific layout design strategy is proposed from four perspectives,which are audience space design,training space design,entrance space design and transition space design.
