In this paper,ballistic tests of the ceramic composite armor movable target against12.7mm armor-piercing incendiary(API)were designed and carried out,the mechanism and performance of the movable target were revealed by numerical simulation,and the influences of different factors on mechanism and performance were studied.Main works and achievements:(1)Anti-penetration tests of ceramic composite armor movable target against12.7mm API.The anti-penetration tests of ceramic composite were designed and implemented.The results show that:(1)If the third layer is armored with aluminum,surface density of movable target can be reduced to 97.7kg/m2,while if the third layer is equipped with PE,surface density can be reduced to 91.6kg/m2.(2)When the impact point is located in the eccentricity or edge region,the projectile deflects slightly,and the deflecting effect of movable target is stronger than that of fixed target.(3)The debonding of movable target unit is much better than that of fixed target and gap target,the average number of failure units under single strike is just 3.(2)Studies on anti-penetration mechanism of ceramic composite armor movable target.The main ball proof mechanism of the movable target was revealed by numerical simulation.The results suggest that:(1)The penetration process of 12.7mm API into movable target can be divided into four stages,warhead abrasing and ceramic cone formating stage,bullet core penetrating ceramic cone stage,bullet core penetrating back plate stage,oblique penetration into baseplate stage.(2)The resistance mechanism of movable target is made up of positive effects and negative effects,negative effect is mainly refer to the"gap effect"of core material layer,while positive effect of movable unit includes the deflection and mobility mechanism of backplate,the asymmetrical resistance of baseplate.(3)Studies on anti-penetration performance of ceramic composite armor movable target.The ultimate velocity distribution of hexagonal ceramic panel was given,the influence of shape effect,size effect and thickness configuration on anti-penetration performance was analyzed,and the probability formula of multi-occurrence protection against movable targets and calculation formula of limit velocity were derived.The results show that:(1)the hexagon panel is superior to the quadrilateral panel in terms of the protection area of the cell panel and the damage area of the whole structure.(2)The length range of the hexagonal protection unit with better resistance to single strike is30mm~80mm,while 60mm~80mm to multiple strikes.(3)In order to resistance to12.7mmAPI effectively,ceramic panel thickness h1 should not be less than 11mm;When h1=12mm,the thickness ratioλ(base plate to back plate)should not be greater than 1.57;When h1=13mm,λshould not be larger than 2.54;When h1=14mm,λshould not be greater than 4.
