This paper aims to study the works and architectural concept of Hans Scharoun(1893-1972).Modernist Master Frank Lloyd Wright(1867-1959)put forward the theory of "organic architecture" in the United States, which was later spread to Europe and further developed and improved by European architects.Scharoun and his mentor Hugo Haring(1882-1958)are representatives of German Organic Architecture.According to Scharoun,"organic" refers to the sculptural principles generated by the organization of natural life.Buildings are not isolated monomers, but should be closely related to sites, uses and functions, seeking the unity of functions and forms. This paper analyzes how Scharoun carries out specific architectural practice based on Hugo Haring's organic architecture theory by summarizing the origin of Scharoun's architectural concept and his creative experience. And generalize Scharoun's architectural design technique by analyzing his representative works such as residential buildings, school buildings and cultural buildings to research Scharoun's organic architecture concept.
