| This paper takes the window-scenery and its elements in ancient building components as the starting point,researches and analyzes the historical changes of window-scenery including the phenomenon,category,style,and especially the cultural connotation.The study of window scenes is carried out through the following methods,such as iconography based on classification,statistics,and carding,social life and historical change as the background,chinese philosophy and aesthetics to be considered as a precondition basis.At the same time,these research content and factors are incorporated into the application of contemporary public spaces’ designs.Exploring the connection of factors from the function,form,cultural connotation and fusion of space design,additionally proposes various solutions based on different interfaces and expressions.The second chapter expounds the development history,structure type,pattern,culture and regional characteristics of the window.Introduce the characteristics of windows in various periods,study and classify the structure of windows,and analyze the design requirements and application sites of different window types.By investigating the patterns of window-scenery in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the patterns and meanings of different themes are analyzed and combed,which is convenient for the traditional symbols to be reasonably applied to contemporary designs.By comparison window-scenery between northern royal gardens and private garden in China,we analyze the differences of the design themes,shapes,structures,and applications,while exploring the effects of Confucianism,Taoism,Buddhism that three cultures on ancient architecture especially for the window.The third chapter analyzes the function of window-scenery in public spaces through actual investigation cases,and analyzes the value of window-scenery from the perspective of market,aesthetics and culture.At the same time,we explores how to better integrate traditionalwindow-secnery culture into contemporary public space designs,including the integration of lighting-based space settings,reconstruction,storage,and functional space segmentation.In addition,this paper further explores how to simplify,extract and graft the morphological symbols of window scenery into the formal language of contemporary public space designs,so that it can better serve contemporary design and convey new visual perception of space to people.The design method proposed in Chapter four is to extract the essence of traditional culture and apply it to the future public space design,to reflect the characteristics of traditional culture in a concise design manner,and to integrate the artistic conception of window-scenery into space in an ecological design concept.The overall design meets the needs of modern people without losing traditional charm.In this way,people are guided to focus on the integration of traditional culture and modern design,raise people’s awareness of traditional art re-creation,and inherit the value of traditional Chinese art.As a spiritual symbol,window-scenery culture carries the spiritual reference and the realm of life in China’s "heaven-man oneness",and it also reveals the consolation of Confucianism,Taoism,and Buddhism in the ancients,and conveys not noly folks‘,and cities’ daily life.The window-scenery exists in the function of the architectural space in the form of graphic images.In the past,it assumed the mission of light transmission,space division,storage,furnishing,and meeting people’s psychological space needs.Similarly,these rich values and meanings can still exist in contemporary public spaces’ designs,and make bold choices based on modern human’s concepts and special requirements,which can also be better applied into improve the level of designs,promoting the contemporary designs with Chinese national style. |
