Abstract/Summary:
With the continuous improvement of the level of urban construction,high-rise connected structures have been widely popular with the public for their novel shapes and high space utilization. However, the current research on such structures is not comprehensive and in-depth.In this paper, through the seismic vulnerability analysis of high-rise connected structures based on the IDA method,a comparative analysis of the corridor on the seismic performance and failure probability of high-rise connected structures under different levels of earthquakes,as well as the failure of the corridor was discussed, which provides some references for seismic design of high-rise connected structures. The specific research content is as follows:(1)This article took a high-rise connected structure engineering example as the research background, using PKPM-SAUSAGE software to build a structural model, and selected one artificial wave and two natural waves to analyze the structure’s elastoplastic time history under rare earthquakes. The interlayer displacement angle curve obtained is smooth without obvious abrupt changes, indicating that the structure is not significantly weak, and the maximum inter-layer displacement angle is less than 1/100,which satisfies the requirements of the specification. The performance level of the floor is basically no damage or slight damage, which basically satisfies the seismic requirements under rare earthquakes. However, there are some locations where the damage is serious in the corridor, which should be paid attention to and provide a basis for the selection of structural damage indicators of the corridor.(2)The IDA method was used to analyze the seismic vulnerability of high-rise connected structures, and the spectral acceleration Sa(T1,4%)corresponding to the first period of the structure was selected as the index of ground motion intensity, the maximum interlayer displacement angle?maxax was used as the structural damage index.Ten different motion records were used to conduct amplitude-modulated elastoplastic time history analysis of the high-rise connected structure and single tower T2.Four performance levels and thresholds of limit state were defined, the seismic vulnerability curve and vulnerability matrix of T2 in the high-rise connected structure and single tower T2 were plotted. The data indicates that the vulnerability curve gradually flattens from the serviceability limit states to the prevent collapse limit state, indicating that the structure has better ductility performance, but the failure probability of a single tower T2 is slightly greater than that of the conjoined T2 under the same earthquake, indicating that the connecting corridor part of the high-rise connected structure coordinated the changes between the two towers and played a certain beneficial role in controlling the structural deformation.(3)The seismic vulnerability analysis of the high-rise conjoined structure corridor was selected, and the torsion-span ratio was used as the structural damage index.By defining the limits of the four types of limit states for the slope of the IDA curve, and drawing the seismic vulnerability curve and vulnerability matrix of the corridor, the seismic performance of the corridor was effectively evaluated. The seismic fortification requirements of“small earthquakes will not break, moderate earthquakes could be repaired, and large earthquakes will not collapse”at the 7-degree earthquake level is satisfied. This article analyzed the vulnerability of high-rise connected structures based on IDA,especially the vulnerability analysis of the corridor. The collapse of the conjoined structure was assessed from the perspective of probability and made a deeper research for the seismic performance of the connected structure, which provided a reference for the design and analysis of similar structures in the future.
