Passive control has been widely concerned and applied in the field of vibration control and practical engineering due to its advantages such as low cost,easy maintenance,and flexible structure.Shape Memory Alloy(SMA for short)has received extensive attention in the field of civil engineering vibration control in recent years.Due to its excellent characteristics of high damping,corrosion resistance and super elasticity,it has unique shape memory characteristics.Therefore,it is an ideal material in the field of vibration control.Under this background,this paper uses the advantages of super-elastic SMA strands and curved friction dampers to propose a torsional SMA-composite friction damper,mainly from the performance test of materials,the design of the damper,and the theoretical model.The establishment and seismic performance analysis are described in four aspects.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Through experiments,the relationship between the mechanical properties of super-elastic SMA strands during uniaxial tension and the loading frequency,strain amplitude,and number of cycles during loading was studied;the mechanical properties of the SMA strands obtained according to the test An ANSYS finite element model has been established,and the Auricchio model can well describe the stress-strain relationship of SMA strands;(2)According to the hysteresis characteristics of the SMA strand and the working principle of the arc-shaped friction damper,a torsional SMA-composite friction damper is proposed,and a block diagram is drawn using the Simulink toolbox to describe the hysteretic characteristics of the SMA strand,The result is roughly consistent with the test curve;the theoretical model of arc friction damper is established,combined with the theoretical model of SMA strand,the torsional SMA-composite friction damper is numerically simulated to obtain the shape of the restoring force displacement curve Regular,full,and good self-reset capability.(3)In order to verify the application of torsional SMA-composite friction damper in vibration control,add it to the structure for elastoplastic time history analysis under rare earthquakes,and torsional SMA-friction damper under different earthquakes The response of the structure is compared to achieve a good shock absorption effect.
