With the rapid development urbanization process in China,the gap between urban and rural areas has become increasingly obvious.The emergence of the rural complex has pointed outa feasible path for the development of the countryside.The concept of health and wellness tourism is increasingly recognized at hone and abroad.Research on the construction of rural complexes under the concept of recreational tourism canmeet a wide range of recreational needs.Tourism can also drive consumer circulation and attract more groups to discover the value of rural experience,which can provide a train of thought and development direc tion for rural landscape planning.At present,acertain degree of practical exploration has been made on how to promote each other and inte grate development.However,there is still a lack of research contenton possible problems and solutions in the landscape planning of the rural complex based on the concept of health and wellness tourism.This research firstly summarizes and analyzes the current status of domestic and foreign research on health and wellness tourism and rural complexes.Then,the relevant theories are studied and discussed respectively from three aspects:ruralcomplex,concept of health and wellness tourism,and planning and design of agricultural landscape.C ombined with the comparative analysis of five successful domestic and foreign practical cases,the main strategies of landscape planning of pastoral complex under the concept of health and wellness tourism are summarized from four angles:objectives,general principles,elements,andpoints of planning.Based on these research results,it was put into practice in the landscape planning of the Phoenix Bay start-up area in Rizhao City.
