Planning And Design Of Urban Wetland Park Based On Creating Recreational Space With Less Mosquitoes

The mosquito problem restricts the recreational characteristics of urban wetland parks which in turn,limits the sustainable development of these parks.Therefore,this article puts forward the research goal of establishing recreation environment with less mosquito.Combining the concept of mosquito ecological control with the traditional urban wetland park planning and design process,thus a practical planning and design strategy may come into shape.In the background section,an online questionnaire was released,who draw a conclusion that the mosquito problem really do restrict the recreational attributes of urban parks,being one of the pioneer researches as such;life sciences and geosciences such as insect ecology,hydrodynamics,environmental science and meteorology Literature research and theoretical summary of theoretical knowledge in the field are interwoven to form a theoretical basis for this particular design.Six domestic and foreign related cases are selected to gather experiences from aspects such as habitat construction and wetland resource protection,ecological leisure and science education,etc.Thus,the overall strategy includes three parts: masterplan,construction of mosquito unfavorable microenvironment,monitoring and management.On the basis of fully respecting the site status,while protecting and restoring the site wetland resources,a masterplan proposes the construction strategy of landscape with overall less mosquitoes,and reasonably modifies the site topology and hydrology,forming the ecological base of the park.Mosquito-unfriendly micro-environment are built through natural enemy habitat construction,water purification,careful plantations and such,forming a complete mosquito ecological control system from beginning to the end,strengthening mosquito control effect.A monitoring and management system will be established to maintain the progress of ecological prevention of mosquitoes in the park.Finally,the strategies and methods are tested in the planning and design of Baishahe Urban Wetland Park to test its operability,providing a reference for practically alleviating the mosquito problems in urban wetland parks,and helping the urban wetland parks develop healthily and sustainably.
