Research On The Micro Transformation Design Strategy Of The Existing Universities In The Oldtown Area Of Guangzhou

With the rapid development of China's major cities and the continuous input of population,the land resources of big cities are always limited,and the land resources of urban central areas carrying greater value have reached the point of extreme shortage.As one of the four first tier cities in China,the universities in the old urban areas where land resources are extremely scarce have been influenced by the rough land development mode in the past and the later construction and expansion of "just in time" in the campus,which makes the existing high schools in the old urban areas of Guangzhou present the current situation of high density,poor environment,chaotic traffic organization and low land use rate.Considering that these existing colleges and universities were generally built more than ten years or decades ago,the planning and layout of the campus were relatively simple and the building appearance was relatively monotonous due to the reasons of construction technology,economic situation,design methods and background of the times.However,most of these campus buildings are only in the middle of life and have a very long service life,so they have a long service life Changgao's transformation enhances value.Based on the "micro transformation" mode advocated by Guangzhou,this paper discusses the design strategy of the renovation of the existing universities in the old urban area of Guangzhou.This paper is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,through the analysis of the regional characteristics of Guangzhou and the development of the existing colleges and universities in the old urban area,the author puts forward the significance of the renewal and transformation of the existing colleges and universities in the old urban area of Guangzhou.Then through the interpretation of related concepts,we can understand the scope and basic situation of the existing universities in the old urban area and the design mode of "micro transformation" under the urban renewal of Guangzhou.The second chapter is an overview of related literature and case studies at home and abroad.Through the analysis and interpretation of the planning and design theory and design strategy of modern campus at home and abroad,as well as the actual cases of campus planning and design that can be used for reference by the existing universities inthe old city area of Guangzhou,the relevant theoretical system will be improved to provide theoretical support for the following design strategy.The third chapter is the basic investigation of the development process,current data and field investigation of Guangzhou Old City and existing universities.First of all,it introduces the development and transformation policies of the old urban area of Guangzhou,and then through the comparison of campus data,it confirms the current situation of high density of existing universities in the old urban area of Guangzhou.Through these two points,the paper sums up the transformation principles that the existing universities in the old urban area should adhere to.The survey selects five representative existing universities in the old urban area of Guangzhou for field investigation and questionnaire interview,sums up the common problems of existing universities in Guangzhou,as well as the actual needs of students for campus reconstruction and the expectation after campus reconstruction,so as to find the exact goal and model for the "micro reconstruction" design of existing universities in the old urban area of Guangzhou Around.The fourth chapter first puts forward the main objectives and contents of the "micro transformation" of the existing colleges and universities.Based on the previous literature,case analysis and the scheme design of the "micro transformation" of the old urban area participated by the author,it summarizes the five design strategies of the "micro transformation" of the functional layout adjustment,traffic organization optimization,external space design optimization,building facade repair and transformation and the trend of building space transformation Slightly.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.This paper summarizes the relevant theoretical results in the paper,and looks forward to the "micro transformation" of the existing universities in the old city area of Guangzhou and the whole country.
