Airbag system is a kind of security protection system,it is used with the seat belt,can provide effective impact protection for crew.When car collided,airbag can sharply reduce the chance of the car occupant injury.Curtain airbag system is designed for occupant safety device to protect the head,in side impact of the traffic accident,curtain airbag was point from the roof down quickly,between the occupant and vehicle to form a soft cushion,avoid occupant directly to collide with the car body parts,can effectively reduce the degree of occupant injury.As people of vehicle safety awareness has increased,the curtain airbag assembly rate is increasing day by day.Along with the increase of car ownership,traffic accidents occur frequently,vehicle safety is a major concern.Because our country urban road traffic intersections in the form of plane intersection is given priority to,side impact accident probability,the highest injury rate ranks first,and the fatality rate second only to frontal crash.But now some of the curtain airbag product design is not reasonable or system parameters matching is not correct,when accidents will increase damage crew,therefore,how to design the airbag products,how to better match the vehicle security system parameters,the airbag suppliers and OEMs put forward higher requirements.This topic with a model developed by curtain airbag as the research object,based on the curtain airbag system basic composition and working principle and the theory of finite element of the product structure characteristics,material properties and with the vehicle matching optimization design were studied.The main research content is as follows:(1)Using multi-loading dummies fold legal curtain airbag geometry design,and material requirements of the curtain bag body and folding way carries on the discussion and research,finally selected a meet the requirements of air pocket material and appropriate folding method,to ensure that the designed air curtain can satisfy the requirements of the certification standards.(2)Design air curtain test,including airbag stiffness test,static point blasting experiment and gas generator pressure vessel,record its state changes in the process of actual experiment and simulation results to compare the actual results,verify the rationality of the numerical model and applicability;(3)Based on the occupant side impact the head easily injured phenomenon,using CAE corresponding failure mechanism was analyzed.On this basis,in view of the air curtain structure optimization design,using CAE simulation and analysis,comprehensive comparison to determine the best optimization scheme,improve the reliability of products.Finally using optimization plan for the actual real vehicle collision experiment,also to verify the accuracy of the CAE simulation.Experiments proved that,the CAE simulation profile the working process of the air curtain,no matter from the experimental results and test data,has good accuracy and reliability can reach more than 90%,aided by real vehicle tests again,can meet the needs of practical application environment.
