Application Of Disused Magazines In The Design Of Household Furnishing Products

"The rise and decline of ecology determines the rise and decline of civilization".As the basic supply in daily life,magazine is constantly increasing in demand and consumption.However,the paper resources of disused magazines have not been fully utilized even under the concept of modern ecological civilization,which causes massive wastes.Taking disused magazines as the research object,redesigning waste paper resources is an innovation in the material selection and a new exploration of the development path of ecological design.It is found that the disused magazines have some problems such as low utilization in paper resources,weak practicability,lower aesthetics and insufficient types of product with survey analysis of the current situation of disused magazine products.This paper points out that disused magazines have the characteristics of eco-environment protection and symbolism in culture of the time;the character in the form elements of the disused magazines has the characteristics of informatization,order,exaggeration,personalization,graphic and the image of the disused magazines has the diversity features of readability,concreteness and abstraction;the color in disused magazines is various,including natural color,artificial color,fashion color,psychological color,cultural color and so on;the disused magazines have both visual image texture and paper texture,and they also can obtain a variety of tactile texture with processing because of the plasticity of the paper with the use of literature research method,qualitative analysis method and case analysis method to analyze and extract design elements in disused magazines.The design group is positioned at:young families about 25-35 years old,the price within 500 yuan,and the design style and design field are positioned at all creative,beautiful,practical household supplies and art furnishings combined with the analysis of the design elements in disused magazine products,consumer demand and market survey.Based on the above research results,the disused magazines are symbolized,and exaggerated with the culture,vision and material characteristics of disused magazines as the design basis points.And the three series of design practices are implemented by using some design methods such as bionics design method,design method,surreal design method and deconstruction design method:firstly,designing a series of decoration of the mask wall that according to the cultural and visual characteristics of the disused magazines;secondly,designing a series of lamps and lanterns with pulp that according to the remoldability of the disused magazine materials and combining with the visual cultural characteristics of the magazines;thirdly,designing furniture series with the integration of acrylic materials and the comprehensive materials of magazine that according to the tenacity of the disused magazine paper and combining with the visual cultural characteristics of the magazines.Reusing disused magazines through design,which can not only enrich the way of reusing disused magazines based on ecology,but also sublimates the connotation of household furnishing products.These two functions complement each other and provide new ideas for disseminating ecological culture and enriching ecological design.
