Planning And Construction Evaluation Of Ziiingang West Campus Of Zhejiang University

Since the late 1990s,China's higher education had entered the fast lane of development.With the continuous expansion of the scale of colleges and universities,the space of original campuses had been unable to adapt to the development requirements,that caused the new campuses to be the main work of the capital construction of colleges and universities in nationwide.In the past 20 years,what role has campus planning played in new campuses construction in China?Has it fully satisfied the requirements of running and developing of colleges and universities under the new situation?Has it been convenient for teachers and students to work,study and live in?Has it been well implemented in the construction?What caused the deviation?Was the planning unreasonable,or was it infeasible in practice?These questions are worth discussing.Zhejiang University,as one of the top universities in China,the planning and construction of its Zijingang West Campus which is being constructed,plays a leading and exemplary role in the whole country.This paper takes the planning and construction of Zijingang West Campus of Zhejiang University as the research object,based on the research methods of campus planning evaluation at domestic and foreign,and the perspective of engineering construction,to make an evaluation on Zijingang West Campus planning from 6 aspects:land use,architectural organization and style,traffic organization,landscape planning,infrastructure planning and engineering thinking.And also take the capital construction procedure and engineering risk control as the breakthrough point to evaluate the implementation of the "12th five-year" and "13th five-year" construction planning of Zijingang West Campus.Summarize the advantages,analyze the shortcomings and make some suggestions,so as to provide some useful experiences for references in the future.
