The Planning And Design Of Waterfront Space Based On Comprehensive Urban River Management

Urban waterfront space is an active interface of urban development.The lack of reasonable planning might cause the deterioration of water environment,ecological quality and the decline of urban function of this important interface.However,people's demand for various functions of waterfront is getting stronger,which promotes the research of waterfront spatial planning and design.Urban-water co-prosperity has already become a new demand of urban sustainable development.This research combines the methods of theoretical research and case study to study this topic in two parts.This research consists of two parts:The first part is theoretical research and method discussion.By studying the basic theories,related concepts and research progress of the comprehensive river management,waterfront space evaluation system,waterfront space planning and design at home and abroad are sorted out,and the ideas and methods of waterfront space planning based on comprehensive river management are explored.1.This paper reviews the spatial-temporal evolution of urban water from the perspective of river management,analyzes the types,functions,land use and other key factors of waterfront space,and studies the coupling effect of waterfront space on comprehensive river management and urban development.The related basic research has confirmed that the planning and design of waterfront space can effectively deal with urban development and water environment problems.2.The main contents of waterfront space planning and design are disscussed,including waterfront space planning control,waterfront space optimization and waterfront space landscape improvement.Planning and control protects the water and soil utilization mainly through the integration of multiple rules.Spatial optimization optimizes the layout of functions mainly through strengthening the integration of river and urban space.Landscape improvement mainly discusses landscape regulation and corridor construction.The second part is empirical research.Based on the investigation of the current water system,landscape and traffic of the Laohuan River waterfront in Hubei Province,the sustainable development strategy of the whole basin of the Laohuan River is adopted to determine the development pattern of the waterfront space,optimize the production,living and ecological space,and compile the landscape improvement plan and cultural planting plan of the waterfront space.Through theoretical research,this study combines the main types of waterfront space evolution,and expounds the stages and patterns of urban waterfront space evolution for urban-water relationship.Based on the spatial evaluation system of comprehensive river management,as well as the principles and methods of waterfront spatial planning,this paper guides the practice of waterfront spatial planning and design in Xiaogan,forming blue and green urban waterfront dynamic space,public space and cultural space,and can provide reference for other urban waterfront space planning and design.
