Leaky coaxial cable is a kind of coaxial cable with various slots on the outer conductor of the cable.It can not only transmit signal but also receive signal.It also has the function of signal transmission line and antenna.The leaky coaxial cable has strong adaptability to the environment,uniform signal coverage and small attenuation.Transmission loss and coupling loss are important performance parameters of leaky coaxial cable.Parameters of outer conductor slot of leaky coaxial cable have great influence on transmission loss and coupling loss.Study different types of leaky coaxial cable,compare and analyze the influence of various parameters of the slot on the transmission loss and coupling loss of leaky coaxial cable,which is beneficial to the optimization of slot parameters and the design of new low loss leaky coaxial cable.The structure,classification,transmission loss and coupling loss of leaky coaxial cable were introduced in this paper.HFSS was used to simulate and analyze the influence factors of the loss of several leaky coaxial cables,a U-groove leaky coaxial cable was designed.The relationship between the transmission loss and coupling loss of leaky coaxial cable and the vertical axial slot width,overall slot width,axial slot width,overall slot length and period of U-groove was analyzed,according to the improved method of U-groove parameters,a kind of curved hook-groove leaky coaxial cable was designed.The coupling loss is reduced by 4d B,and the transmission loss is still far lower than the national standard value.Through the fitting curve of each parameter of curved hook-groove and loss,the improved method of slot parameters of curved hook-groove was obtained.Then a leaky coaxial cable with eight-slot was designed.The fitting curves of slot length,slot width,slot inclination angle,slot period and the loss of leaky coaxial cable were obtained by simulation.According to the optimization method of eight-slot,an improved eight-slot leaky coaxial cable was designed.The coupling loss is reduced by 10.5db.The range of the parameters of the improved eight-slot which accords with the national standard was obtained by simulation.According to the relationship between the long axis of slot,the short axis of slot,the period of slot and the loss of elliptical groove leaky coaxial cable,the parameter range and the optimization method of elliptical groove were obtained.Through the analysis of the above several leaky coaxial cables,the influence of slot parameters on the loss of leaky coaxial cable was obtained,which provides a theoretical basis for the design of leaky coaxial cable with new slots.
