Research On The Employment Problem Of Landless Farmers

Since the beginning of history,China has been a country with advanced agricultural wisdom,and farmers are an important part of our population.With the advent of the industrialization era,higher demands are put forward for the level of urbanization.In order to meet the needs of urban development,the city has to continuously expand to the suburban farmland.The problem of farmers’ survival after losing their land and the problem of social security have become the focus of academic research.How to let the farmers with low educational level and lack of non-agricultural employment experience quickly integrate into the city life to realize re-employment and break the invisible urban-rural dual structure is a major issue in front of the relevant departments in China.Employment is the key to solve the problem of how to live after losing land.There is a certain contradiction between the employment environment under the background of industrialization and the agricultural employment skills possessed by the land-lost farmers.Therefore,how to make the land-lost farmers realize re-employment under the background of industrialization is the priority among priorities to properly settle the land-lost farmers.Only by making the land-lost farmers obtain full and stable employment,can the land-lost farmers have security for their old age and not lose their jobs.What is the problem that our country loses land farmer to obtain employment again? To fully understand this problem,first of all,in-depth field research should be carried out on the employment of land-lost farmers.Zhengzhou aviation port area is the first state-level airport economic experimental area in China.Before the development,this area was a traditional grain-producing area with agricultural production as the main industry.This paper takes zhengzhou airport port area as the research object,through field investigation,carries out questionnaire survey and in-depth interview of typical land-lost farmers.Specific research contents are as follows:The first part is an introduction.Firstly,it expounds the research background and significance of land-lost farmers’ employment problem,combs the existing research at home and abroad,expounds the research content and research methods of this paper,and finally analyzes the innovation points and shortcomings of this paper.The second part is the definition of relevant concepts and theoretical introduction,mainly introducing the concept of land-lost farmers,land-lost farmers and the concept of employment.Meanwhile,the relevant theories are analyzed to provide theoretical support for the following research.The third part is the investigation of the employment status of land-lost farmers in zhengzhou airport port area.Firstly,through combing the literature,the paper introduces the physical geography,social and economic conditions,land expropriation and compensation,and the employment status of land-lost farmers in zhengzhou airport port area.After research,it is found that farmers’ life is more convenient after losing land,and on the one hand,off-farm employment opportunities increase.On the other hand,the employment industry of land-lost farmers is single,more than 80% of the re-employment of land-lost farmers is temporary employment.The fourth part analyzes the problems existing in the employment of land-lost farmers in zhengzhou airport port area,and studies how the land-lost farmers with insufficient skills and low education can realize re-employment from the perspectives of re-employment choice,re-employment industry distribution and social security of re-employment.The fifth part is the countermeasures and Suggestions.In view of the problems in the employment of land-lost farmers in zhengzhou airport port area,the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions are put forward from the aspects of land expropriation compensation method,employment support policy,social security mechanism and employment training.This paper finds that the land-lost farmers have a strong desire for re-employment and hope to increase their family income and realize their self-value through re-employment.However,in the process of actual employment,it is faced with some problems such as lack of employment skills,single structure of market employment and lack of perfect social security.Secondly,the structural unemployment of land-lost farmers is mainly caused by the imperfect industrial structure in the resettlement areas.To improve the employment plight of land-lost farmers,we can explore from three aspects.The first is to fully understand the value of land to farmers and raise the standard of land compensation.Secondly,the government should participate in employment assistance,fully exploit public service positions to diversify the employment channels for land-lost farmers,and finally,enrich the ways of reemployment training for land-lost farmers.
