The volume of dry bulk cargo accounts for about one third of the world's shipping volume,and voyage charter is one of the main modes of dry bulk cargo transportation.Due to the lack of fixed port,route and schedule,as well as the contiuous changes in the shipping market and the price of the marine fuel oil,it has brought great uncertainty to the voyage charter operation.In order to achieve the maximum profit,the ship operator will strictly manage the cost,and the fuel cost accounts for a large proportion of the ship's operating cost.Therefore,the ship operator will use a variety of ways to control the fuel cost to reduce the operating cost.There are differences in fuel oil prices among ports in different regions of the world and fuel oil prices will change over time.The spatiotemporal change of marine fuel oil prices increases the difficulty of controlling fuel oil costs.Ship operators need to make different supply plans according to the differences in fuel oil prices between ports on the route and the price change trend.Different fuel oil supply plans lead to different fuel costs.Therefore,in the process of dry bulk cargo transportation,we need to study and optimize the fuel supply strategy of dry bulk cargo ship according to the time and space changes of the price of the marine fuel oil,so as to reduce the fuel cost and control the overall operating cost.In this background,the paper first introduces the theoretical knowledge of dry bulk transportation,voyage charter and ship fuel oil,then analyzes the reasons for the change of international ship fuel price and the trend of the change over time,and analyzes the difference of ship fuel price in several important ports through the data.On this basis,this paper takes the fuel supply of dry bulk voyage charter ship for several consecutive voyage as the research object.First,it assumes that the fuel prices in each port are different but do not change with time,establishes a static optimization model of fuel replenishment for the dry bulk carrier with the maximum profit as the objective function,aiming at the determination of the fuel quantity,the cargo quantity and the speed of ship,and provides a scheme for the fuel replenishment strategy in the process of the dry bulk carrier's continuous multi voyage transportation.A genetic algorithm isdesigned to solve the problem.Then,considering that the fuel oil price of the port not only changes with the space but also changes with the time,a real-time optimization model of fuel oil replenishment for the dry bulk carrier is established.In this model,the fuel replenishment plan of dry bulk carrier will be adjusted in real time with the change of fuel price.Genetic algorithm and rolling planning method are designed to solve the problem.Finally,the static optimization model and real-time optimization model of fuel replenishment of dry bulk carrier are verified by a specific case.The model and algorithm are reasonable and applicable.By comparing the static model and the real-time optimization model,it is found that the real-time optimization model can provide ship operators with a more profitable ship fuel replenishment strategy,adjust the fuel replenishment plan in response to the price changes in time,and minimize the cost and improve the revenue.
