Bunkering Optimization For The Voyage Chartered Ships Under The Fluctuation Of The Bunker Fuel Price

The voyage charter is playing an important part in the maritime transport. Compare to container transport, voyage charter transportation plays a fundamental role in the world economy. It is closely linked to the world economy. Because the world trade of large part of the coal, ore, grain and oil is transported by voyage shipping. Although voyage charter transportation in general acts an indispensable part, its management mode is not produced a huge change as container transportation in the past years, instead of mostly follow the original management mode. In recent years, as the world economic situation gradually complicated, bulk cargo and oil tanker ship gradually develop to large-scale that requires voyage transportation management toward more accurate and reasonable.Above all, it is known that due to the long maritime transport operation cycle, the change of fuel price, ships in different time and place make fuel supplies would make the cost difference obvious. Therefore in the voyage charter the fuel supply scheme of the ship is the important decisions for ship operators. In this paper, we take the voyage charter company as the research object, to solve the fuel supplies problems in the continuous voyage charter; we establish a model which is based on fuel price forecasting to solve the problems of fuel supply and the ship allocation. Finally, we use the data to verify the rationality and validity of the model. In a voyage charter operation, ship owners rely on rent accommodation to transport the products to get the freight. All expenses that the ship owners should paid except the stevedore charges. Therefore, in continuous operation of the voyage charter, the ship owners need to make the fuel consumption in the reasonable control, which can reduce the operation cost of the shipping company effectively.
