The barrel is one of the core components of automatic weapon,and its life span directly affects the life of the whole weapon,so it has important research value and significance.This paper takes the body tube of an automatic weapon as the research object,and analyzes and studies the life and reliability of the body tube of a 5.8mm automatic weapon by combining the theory and technology of internal ballistics,probability statistics,elastic-plastic mechanics,finite element method,reliability and genetic algorithm.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Starting from the failure mechanism of weapon barrel,combined with SEM surface morphology and crack test results of electroplated hard Cr to prepare barrel barrel material,the failure process of barrel barrel,barrel fatigue failure model and fatigue failure mode were studied.(2)Analyze and establish the transient heat transfer model of the body tube during automatic weapon firing,conduct numerical analysis on the temperature field and stress in the radial direction of the body tube,and calculate and analyze the distribution law and change of the temperature field and stress field of the body tube during single and continuous firing;(3)According to the numerical calculation results,determine the dangerous parts of the tube,use the local stress-strain method and the rain-flow counting method to determine the fatigue load spectrum of the dangerous parts,use the fatigue load spectrum and linear cumulative damage theory to predict the fatigue life of the tube and the comprehensive analysis of forecast and life value,compare with the test results;(4)The fatigue life of the barrel is subject to the rule of Weibull distribution,and two important parameters of the Weibull distribution function are calculated by using linear regression estimation and least square method based on the firing test data of thebarrel life,so as to finally determine the expression of the fatigue life distribution function of the barrel and the important reliability index;(5)Genetic algorithm was used to optimize the distribution function of tube fatigue life,and the calculated results improved the reliability and stability of tube fatigue life.The research methods and ideas in this paper can provide important theoretical reference for the design and development of automatic weapon barrel,provide calculation basis for the fatigue life prediction and reliability analysis of automatic weapon barrel,and have certain practical significance for the research of automatic weapon and artillery.
