The importance of water to the creation of human gathering space has been recognized since ancient times. The traditional rural water system is not only the requirement to maintain rural production and life, but also an important part of rural space. The relationship between rural water system and rural space has three aspects:1.The benign water cycle in life and production is maintained only by simple ecological wisdom;2.Although water facilities such as "collecting, fetching, using and discharging" have a relatively large scale, they are organically integrated with courtyards, roads, landscape, public space and natural environment.3.Various water-related Spaces constitute an excellent landscape system, substantially affecting the spatial characteristics of the village. In the development of rural revitalization, however, the vast majority of villages to meet the demand of improving life, production,in the water system in the process of modernization tend to be more focused on their own technical indexes of all kinds of water infrastructure, ignores the interaction of water infrastructure, caused the rural water balance is difficult to sustain for a long time,so as to make the rural water pollution is more serious; At the same time, modern construction technology puts most of the facilities into the ground.Although it saves some space and ensures the safety of water supply and drainage,it destroys the spatial organization of livable villages led by the rural water system. These thoughts triggered the motivation of this research, that is,how technology can make the elegant inheritance of tradition, how the modern rural water system can ensure the sustainable development of rural areas in a virtuous circle, and how to shape the characteristics of village space. In this paper, from the perspective of metabolic cycle, the rural areas in Shandong where the sub-humid area and the cold area meet are taken as the main research object, and the spatial organization pattern of rural water system is studied through the concept, implantation mode, spatial organization structure and adaptive application of rural water system. The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly expounds the research background, research object and scope, related concepts, research contents and methods, research purpose and significance of the topic.Based on the research on the statusquo of relevant theories and practices at home and abroad, the research methods are proposed and the overall framework of the research is constructed. The second chapter to build rural water system based on metabolic cycle concept cognition, through the metabolic balance theory, the sustainable water resource utilization and other related theoretical research, the author puts forward the concept of rural water system, and expounds the concept, components and structure of the rural water system, hierarchy and characteristics, the comprehensive efficiency and other aspects, and combining the research half wet cold area in Shandong rural area water system carries on the preliminary discussion. The third chapter studies the rural water system in cold sub-humid areas into space, first analyzed the water system space requirement for rural space, then to comb the type countryside water system operation mode and different industry from technology, economy, space, landscape and social analysis in five dimensions, rural "stakeholders" selection of water infrastructure, finally discusses the different size "stakeholders" water infrastructure in the courtyard, unit length scales, village domain implant way,to the fourth chapter the village is the building of system space organization mode provides a good research foundation.Chapter four studies the spatial organization pattern and adaptive application strategy of rural water system in sub-humid and cold regions.Combining with the concept of "spatial organization of water system",the spatial organization model of rural water system is constructed and the integrated design of other rural Spaces is analyzed. The fifth chapter is the conclusion and prospect, which summarizes the research contents of the whole paper, summarizes the main conclusions of this paper, and puts forward the deficiencies and further research prospects for the existing problems in this paper.
