Under the background of the country's vigorous development of the economy and the promotion of urbanization,it will inevitably bring about the rapid development of the construction industry,and the competition in the industry is becoming more and more fierce.According to statistics,the profit margin of output value in the past ten years is only about 3.5%.How to create benefits for enterprises in actual projects is the core task of each project cost management staff.Based on the literature research,the paper collects and reviews a large number of relevant information about BIM(Building Information Modeling),EPC(Engineering,Procurement,Construction)and cost management at home and abroad,and has a certain understanding of the topics covered in the paper;using qualitative analysis Combined with work experience,from the bidding decision-making stage,design stage and construction stage,the main problems in the field of domestic cost management are analyzed,and the solution of applying BIM technology is proposed and improved through the innovative “EPC+BIM” management mode.The decision-making efficiency of the EPC project team enhances the rationality and scientificity of cost management,reduces the risk of EPC project cost management,and improves the project's efficiency level.Using the quantitative analysis method,based on the actual case,the actual application process of the EPC project based on BIM technology to solve the cost management problem is given.Through the project practice,the application of BIM technology can greatly improve the accuracy and efficiency of engineering quantity calculation,so as to achieve the goal of cost management.The main research results of this thesis are as follows:(1)The bidding decision stage of the EPC project is different from the traditional mode.With the application of BIM technology,the external conditions of the project can be fully considered and the relevant information of the proposed project can be visually displayed.At the same time,through the previous accumulation,reference is made to the design,consultation and construction of similar projects.,management and other expenses,provide data support for bidding decision-making;improve the decision-making efficiency of EPC project team through innovative "EPC+BIM" management mode,increase the rationality and scientificity of bidding quotation,and reduce the risk of pre-project cost management of EPC project.(2)The design stage under the EPC mode has the characteristics of wide designcontent,many influencing factors and technical difficulty.Therefore,the design stage becomes the key link to control the project cost.Moreover,EPC projects often use fixed-price contracts to determine contract prices at the design stage,which makes the leading role of the design phase more prominent in EPC project cost management.The application of BIM technology can realize the integration and sharing of project cost information,provide more comprehensive and reliable data for the development of design work,and obtain more accurate cost results.Through case analysis,the total amount of steel bars is 3,406 tons,the absolute error of engineering quantity is 2.8 tons,and the relative error is 0.08%.The accuracy is almost impossible in the hand calculation mode.Using the BIM model to calculate the project cost,the speed is also much higher than the hand calculation model.At the same time,based on the BIM model,collaborative design can be carried out,technology and economic analysis can be integrated,the control of total project investment can be realized from the source,and the effect of project cost management in the design stage can be improved.(3)In the construction phase of EPC project,applying BIM technology for cost management,the EPC management advantage should be exerted to ensure that the model is jointly established and used by each stage,and the project information is saved in the same model,and relevant data is added and updated according to the progress of the project.The cost information has completeness,uniqueness and timeliness,can maximize the value of BIM application,improve the reusability of project cost information,and achieve effective cost management.Taking the case project as an example,the BIM model is used to control the engineering quantity of the subcontracting unit.From the measurement of the first phase of the construction phase of the construction phase,the number of construction drawings of the engineering quantity control subcontracting derived by the BIM model is used,and the BIM model is derived.The cumulative amount is the subcontracting settlement quantity,which controls the cost of the subcontracting unit very well,and the subcontracting unit adopts the engineering quantity list pricing mode,thereby greatly reducing the risk of the general contractor and improving the cost management.benefit.From this,it can be concluded that the application of BIM technology can solve some of the problems of traditional cost management,improve the cost management level of EPC projects,and improve the efficiency of EPC project general contractors,thus enhancing the overall competitiveness of enterprises.
