In order to meet the diversified and personalized market demand,KL bus,the leading enterprise in China's bus industry,has continuously improved its mass customization capability and won the leading market position.But mass customization also brings many challenges to its operation and management,among which supplier management has become the bottleneck to improve its market competitiveness.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the supplier management of KL bus based on the mode of mass customization,proposes improvement measures for the existing problems of its supplier management,and tests the effectiveness of the measures,and summarizes some experience of mass customization supplier management improvement.Based on the theory of mass customization,supply chain management and strategic purchasing,this paper sort out the content and target of supplier management based on mass customization mode,according to classification method of purchasing category,supply positioning model,supplier perception model and supplier integration model.Then,it analyses the current situation of KL bus mass customization and supplier management,puts forward its problems:executive purchasing function,non-standard purchasing category and non-strategic supplier management.Try to build a supplier management analysis framework adapted to mass customization,and propose five major improvement measures from the two aspects of procurement functional strategy and supplier management strategy oriented to purchasing category:1.improve the strategic position of procurement function and extend its function;2.standardize the procurement category division method and establish the supply positioning model;3.establish a supplier access mechanism that gives consideration to evaluation enthusiasm and ability;4.set different weight indexes to evaluate supplier performance and enhance incentive to suppliers according to category supply orientation;5.develop and apply the supplier integration model,which includes the four strategies of "development,utilization,substitution and elimination".Finally,the effectiveness of the improvement measures is verified by qualitative and quantitative analysis,and the conclusion that the improvement measures of KL bus supplier management have significant effect is obtained.This study has certain reference value for the improvement of supplier management of manufacturing enterprises based on the mode of mass customization.
