During the window period when oil-fueled vehicles are gradually converted into new energy vehicles, the new energy vehicle industry is gradually accelerating its internationalization. Then,Chinese and American companies are bound to compete in the international market.Although China's new energy automobile companies are developing well under the support of a series of policies, they will be dwarfed when they go out of the country to participate in overseas competition. Therefore,in order to better develop China's new energy vehicle industry, expand overseas markets and gain greater competitiveness in the international market,it is very necessary to study the overseas competitiveness of China's new energy vehicle enterprisesFirstly, the external environment of the new energy automobile company is analyzed to show that the external environment affects the formulation of the company's competitive strategy.First of all,Porter's five-force theory model is applied to study China's automobile industry, which uses new energy as fuel.In addition, the analysis is made from the aspects of technology and policy. As a newly emerging industry, the competition for new energy vehicles is relatively mild and has a good external development environment. This paper uses double case studies to extract five key factors that affect the overseas competitiveness of new energy automobile companies from the theories of overseas market entry strategy and marketing strategy-technical ability, control ability, cost reduction ability,profit-making ability and influence ability on consumers. Then use five key factors to build a theoretical model to illustrate BYD and Tesla's competitiveness abroad.Through comparative analysis of cases,BYD's competitive advantages in control capability, low cost capability and profitability, and its competitive disadvantages in product technology and brand image are analyzed. Finally, this paper explains BYD's competitive strategy from the perspective of dynamic capability.BYD's competitive strategy is illustrated from the three main factors of "process","status" and "path" that affect dynamic capability. The research conclusion shows that BYD's competitive strategy based on the macro environment and its own internal environment is the source of its competitive advantages such as low cost capability, control capability and profitability, which is also the reason why BYD is inferior to its competitors in product technology and brand image.
