| The transformation of transportation mode has profoundly affected the development of the city and the evolution of urban space, and has an important catalytic effect on the spatial layout of the regional economy. In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s high-speed rail, its importance is not only reflected in its facilities, but also in the shaping effect of high-speed rail on the regional spatial pattern, that is,the imbalance between urban economic growth and regional economic development.Based on the three important factors of geospatial distance, site transmission capability and high-speed rail opening time, this paper constructs the high-speed rail space weight matrix of 283 sample cities in China, and empirically tests the overall impact of high-speed rail on China’s urban economic space spillover and the economy through the spatial panel model.Remodeling of spatial distribution. The study found that although the high-speed rail opening will not significantly enhance the spatial spillover level between Chinese cities as a whole,it will significantly change the spatial distribution pattern of China’s urban economy:the opening of high-speed rail will further expand economic resources from non-hub cities to hub cities. In order to deepen the resource polarization level of the hub city;due to the siphon effect of the hub city, the economic relationship between the non-hub cities has weakened with the opening of the high-speed rail;with the gradual completion of the high-speed railway network in the central city, the high-speed rail has not been opened. The peripheral cities will be further"transported" by the hub cities, resulting in an "island" effect. The main innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)the metric of spillover effect is a vector, including the direction of overflow and the intensity of overflow. In addition to considering the spillover intensity, the economic space spillover between different levels of cities should have different diffusion effect bodies, action receptors, reflow effect bodies, and action receptors.Further, the net effects of diffusion and reflow should be compared. In order to more accurately examine the direction of spatial spillovers in different economies within the region. This paper combines 2010-2016 data to study the economic spillovers produced by China’s high-speed rail, using 283 sample cities in China to investigate, and test the economic diffusion and recirculation effects of different levels of cities, thus deeper Describe the impact of high-speed rail on the heterogeneity of different cities.(2)Most of the existing researches use the geographic distance as the weight matrix to construct the spatial panel model, and the time dimension is not included in the matrix. This paper comprehensively measures the spillover effect by constructing a high-speed rail space weight matrix including geographic distance, transmission capability and opening time. |
